Re: The Man of Steel

I noticed some pics of Cavill in the iconic red undies and supes costume, so I guess its not a joke, he must literally lose his drawers at some point. :lol

Touch a nerve? :rotfl

You essentially did by blatantly dismissing that aspect of the post you quoted and saying he was funny. :huh
i said he would not find it funny to really see a girl gang raped by five guys! it was a joke and i have never heard about that joke until now.

Once again, she was a heckler.

She's messing up someone's show for her own amusement. She's essentially wasting these people's time and money.

She deserves to me offended, and sad.

oh okay that makes sense.
she deserved the insult.
why is everybody so mad about it?

Re: The Man of Steel

Weird world we are living in...there should be no boundaries in comedy...people have forgotten that it is ok to be offended. What offends you may make me laugh and vice versa. I'm sick and tiered of comedians having to apologize for what they said because someone was offended. If you are going to a Tosh show you should be aware of what type of humor you are in for. And instead of heckling a performer get up and leave and ask for your money back. Why ruin others good time. Funny how now a days 1 person gets offended and it's a big deal. The 1st amendment is slowly eroding away.

Anyway back to Superman...I liked that shot of Cavil...he looks big...hopefully ZS doesn't screw this up.

Re: The Man of Steel

before the comedian conversation i was wondering if in this film is clark kent the alter ego or is superman?

Re: The Man of Steel

To me, it's usually Superman. Clark Kent is a Kryptonian who makes Earth his home and lives a civilian life as Clark Kent, yet despite being Kal-El/Superman in reality, Clark Kent is not a "disguise." It's who he ends up becoming.

Batman is the reverse. He's Bruce Wayne. A child who grows up and adopts the night after a severe tragedy, in which he devotes his life to spending countless nights attempting to thwart, in some twisted fantasy, the very crimes that caused his past emotional descent and torment.

Re: The Man of Steel

I get the whole 'every comedian has the right to be offensive' thing, but don't you actually have to be funny while doing it? Tosh fails at that.

Sorry. :dunno

but yeah... Superman...

Again that's your opinion...you arent the litmus test of whose funny and whose not, the greatest comedians of all time failed at jokes, offended people, made some laugh and others not...whether you like him or hate him Tosh is a successful comedian, and has the right to offend you, me whoever... you in turn have the right to dislike his humor, find him not funny...and patronize his shows or not.

The whole apologizing thing is outta hand at this point and at its roots just fake to keep special interest groups at bay.

Anyway superman yeah.

Re: The Man of Steel

Yep. Daniel Tosh. That's him - That's also the same guy who thought it'd be hilarious to point at a girl in the audience & say "Wouldn't it be funny if she got raped by like 5 guys right now?"

Genius.... >_>

This is something to joke about? And people laugh at this?

How sad. :dunno

Now to Superman. So do we actually know if this is a part of some kind of DC unified World, or is it not?

Heaven forbid that we would need yet another SUPERMAN reboot, hence my comment about DC having left it too late for a JLA movie. It could never realistically happen within 9-10 years, if they go the 'individual hero movie' route. By that time, the demographic they were chasing would have moved onto other things.

Re: The Man of Steel

Rape has been a popular joke topic for years. So.

Hell, most people hear use the same joke when they talk about Michael Bay. :lol
