You think Krypto would fly in a Nolan-related film? He wouldn't be from Krypton, he'd be adopted from a pound in Smallville or something. Then, once established as Clark's best friend, he'd run away.

If Nolan had his way:

Pretty much. Superman will be Clark for 99% of the time, Lex will show up for a brief cameo before the actor who plays him ODs (causing a buttload of weirdos to shave their heads and buy $1k customs of him), Ma and Pa Kent will abandon Clark but that's okay, because he'll abandon Metropolis to run off with Ursa anyway, but he'll make sure to leave his suit and the Fortress of Solitude to Jimmy Olsen.
