I have been a fan of Christian Bale since Empire of the Sun and Newsies.

He has been working since he was a kid, and isn't a druggie, amazing

Yeah, it's strange, but, even in some of the interviews for BB and TDK, it seemed like he kept his "American" accent. It got to the point where, upon hearing his accent for the first time, I let out an "I iz confuzed."

I bet he has bi-polar disorder and multiple personality issues. Being a method actor, I sort of get Linda Hamilton vibes (who's a nutter her self and just so happened to play his mom in Terminator Salvation ).

You see interviews within just a decade gap and the emotions and personalities are all over the place (I'm guess that might go hand in hand with the role he's playing though).

Or hell, maybe he's just an emotional guy. The interview thing is weird though. Watch Begins interviews where he promotes the film, then watch ones from TDK, the differences are Knight and day. During the TDKR days he was like a teddy bear in comparison. Visiting hurt victims, speaking out, etc.

This is done some times by actors so they don't lose the character. It is also true of CB's interviews from THE MACHINIST....

He was sitting in the chair answering questions. I'm sure Bale has been asked the same thing. Hell, Bale was so conscious of it that he did interviews for Batman Begins with an American accent.

Yeah it's not something he did specifically for Batman. I'm i'm not mistaken even the Terminator Salvation interviews (at least some) were in American accent

He's Canadian when he plays Bruce Wayne.
He's American when he's Batman "WWRAR LEAST WR WRAR HOCKEY PADS GROWL"
