This accents thing is very common. Thandie Newton does a cosmetics advert and you can see that she is shaping her mouth around American sounding words, though she has re-dubbed it to English for her 'home' market.

I think that's as stupid as when they dubbed Mad Max. :cuckoo: The original dialogue wasn't difficult to understand at all.

The Mad Max thing is doubly stupid because for years after Gibson became a top star the distributors insisted they couldn't put out the original audio because it was too difficult to understand. After they finally caved everyone knew they were full of crap.

Andie MacDowell was dubbed in "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes". She has a slight southern accent the filmakers didn't like, even though Jane Porter is an American they dubbed her over with Glenn Close using english accent.

An otherwise decent film but the dubbing doesn't match up at all.

Re: The Man of Steel

Even though I watched a mish mash of the teaser and the SDCC footage, what I saw looked amazing. More epic fighting between Zod and Supes, and Crowe and Costner look to be bringing the gravitas.
