There, there sweet child. I'm sorry for raising my voice at you, but there is one code that all Superman fans must live by:

"Terence Stamp is the true lord thy Zod."
"Thou shalt have no false Zods before the first Zod."
"Thou shalt not take the name of the lord your Zod in vain."
"Thou shalt rise before Zod."
"Thou shalt kneel before Zod."
"Remember to keep Zod's original film appearances sacred."
"Thou shalt not permit Zod to appear without his mustache and beard."
"Thou shalt not not kneel."
"Thou shalt not bear false witness and pretend Zod looks stupid."
"Thou shalt not begrudge Zod his choice in females, Ursa, nor shall thou attempt to bromance Non."

Can't wait to see Shannon blow away every previous Zod.

Well, seeing as how you couldn't be bothered to make the trip up the old vas deferens before the first movies came out, your opinion hardly counts in this matter. Sorry kiddo. :monkey2

IGN:

Weta Digital's Joe Letteri recently spoke to Bleeding Cool about director Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. The visual effects supervisor didn't want to talk about the effects, however, and instead addressed the film's story. Here's what he said:

"I can’t talk too much about Man of Steel yet, and I haven’t seen the whole thing yet, but overall it’s the story that’s most exciting. It’s a nice re-envisioning of the story of Superman leaving his homeworld and coming to this new one.

If you look at what Zack [Snyder] has done you’ll see that they’ve abandoned a lot of the pretense that was in the comics and asked “Can we still make this work?”

They’re sticking to realism as much as possible. Fantastic elements are still there but a lot of it that been trimmed back to make it feel as though this actually happened."

Re: The Man of Steel

It almost seems as if WB is taking an opposite approach from TDKR marketing with this movie.

2 months out and all we've seen is that mini trailer.

I like it because I have no self control, they could release the ending of a movie prior release date and I would watch it. :lol

I'm going to go see Evil Dead remake today and I already know everything Pepper Potts does while possessed by a deadite princess Leia.

Re: The Man of Steel

A movie about a invulnerable humanoid with immense strength that can fly, should not be realistic.

Re: The Man of Steel

Grounded in reality is different from realistic. If you haven't got that out of Nolan's Batman trilogy, you're never going to get it :lol

To be "grounded in reality" is to be well versed in what is more "realistic"

:rotfl So, actually there is no difference between the two at all. Remind me again, what is it we are supposed to be getting? :rotfl

Re: The Man of Steel

Realistic = Based in the real world with no fantasy elements.

Grounded in Reality = Based in the real world and any fantasy elements have to be rationally explained as to why they exist.

At least that was always my understanding about the terms when used in this context. :dunno
