Re: The Man of Steel

It's Zack's movie. No doubt about that at all.

If there's a Nolan who deserves more than the usual Producer's credit, it's actually his brother: Jonathan. He helped save the mess of a script (by David Goyer) with Zack and his team at literally the 11th hour. Unfortunately, those guys won't get their due on script credit thanks to the WGA.

But I'll tell ya, when I read Goyer's script just before production I was pretty damn concerned. :lol And that was the draft Chris Nolan blessed and had story input on. Thankfully, his brother and others knew it could be vastly improved... and WB backed them. But Goyer will get the credit, which is a sham... but that's how the system works.

Well that is ridiculous. I thought that all the recent writer's strikes were supposed to sort out exactly that kind of underhand garbage...? One has to ask then, what exactly is their function if it is not to sort out those types of messes?

Thanks for sharing this with us mate.
Ive been followed this project since day one (even tried to work on it as storyboard artist but im always late when it comes to overseas prods) and im so pumped especially since Peter rubin shared some non spoiling stuff with me. Ive been loving zacks directing since DOTD, he deserves more that what hes getting but im happy that people at WB seem to like him very much and keep on trusting him.

Ps: i just saw invasion USA recently lol

Wow, as a fan of David Goyer's, I find that disappointing..Was his first draft of the script really that bad?

After his last two outings (TDKR and Ghost Rider 2) I'm actuallt glad he got the babysitter treatment on this one. :lol

Although I liked TDKR, I defininitely am not blind to the criticism it rdceived and that script could have been tightened way up.

I think this movie will crush the avengers.
it will set the new bar for superhero movies.

Crush how?

Box office?

Or that it will make Avengers look like a POS movie?

I don't comprehend the how or why.

Does it even have to crush it?

Can't it just be a great movie about Superman and live alongside the Avengers within a group of other great superhero movies?
