Re: The Man of Steel

The only thing that I'm a bit weary of now.. is all the accessibility we seem to have with these films. Of course - enter or move on, but curiosity is just human nature, so it can't be helped even if you're saving yourself. :lol

I'm just glad it looks like we're finally getting THE Superman film for the new millennium - so good. :yess:

Re: The Man of Steel

Too much CG. That's all I gotta say.

That's like saying there is too much nudity in strip clubs :thud:. Its a CBM what do you expect?? Did you like any newer cbms or marvel phase 1 movies including the avengers, because all of them had a lot of CG as well???

I am just pointing out that too much cg is not really a valid complaint for this genre of film: people expect a fair amount of cg in these movies since using practical effects is not an option- try creating thors lightning, spideys webbing/ web slinging, or Superman's heat vision without a computer and make it look realistic. The hulk was all cg yet he was awesome in the avengers. People cant punch each other into the stratosphere or through buildings in real life so cg is needed. As much as i love superman 2 i dont feel like seeing him and zod wrestle/grapple and kick each other slowly, with no force while obviously floating on wires because they are limited by practical effects.

The funny thing is that there is more action in the latest TV spots/trailers then there was in the entire superman returns movie.

I almost posted spolier alert before I posted the new trailer because of the creature, but I figured anyone playing the trailer didn't care what they saw. :dunno

Re: The Man of Steel

You keep doing this. You're probably breaching your contract.

Leaving little "I totally hated the movie, but i'm being cryptic about it" posts aren't that interesting. Just spill it already.

Either way, that's a silly criticism to have. It's a Superman movie. It's going to be almost all CGI. Why shouldn't it be? It's the kind of film that needs CGI.

I'm not sure how he's saying he hated the movie? I went back through, and, from what I understand, what Rory's said has been pretty positive with the exception of that last post.

If Rory's major notable complaint about one of Zack's movies is "too much CG" you should take that as a positive sign. :lol

Yeah, there's a lot of CG in this flick. And it looks great. Better than most recent blockbusters.

And plenty of the movie "feels real".

Re: The Man of Steel

It's funny we are now complaining they are showing too much of this when just a few weeks back everyone was screaming that we haven't seen anything from this movie and speculating on how terrible it must be... We are all nuts! :cuckoo: :lol
