The mere idea of this really ticks me off.
I liked Iron Man 3. I really did. It was a good film. BUT.... How the villain was handled was the films main weakness. In this genre especially, if you don't have a good villain, you got nothin'. Or not much, anyway. IM3 took not one, but two potentially decent villains and straight-up cheated BOTH of them.
If they want to ruin the film - I guess they will. But it would be a crying shame.
I really, really really don't want them to go this route. And I don't want it to become a trend.
Just read BIRTHRIGHT for the first time. In the story, a massive"Kryptonian invasion" is staged by Luthor to make the public fear their new protector.
Since MAN OF STEEL supposedly draws from the graphic novel, and superhero movies these days love their twists, I wonder if they'd go down that route and have "Zod" be a patsy for the man behind the curtain. Especially since Zod was a non-entity in the comics before the movies made him a household name.
Could be farfetched, but you never know.
