Re: The Man of Steel

Just read BIRTHRIGHT for the first time. In the story, a massive
"Kryptonian invasion" is staged by Luthor to make the public fear their new protector.

Since MAN OF STEEL supposedly draws from the graphic novel, and superhero movies these days love their twists, I wonder if they'd go down that route and have "Zod" be a patsy for the man behind the curtain. Especially since Zod was a non-entity in the comics before the movies made him a household name.

Could be farfetched, but you never know.

The mere idea of this really ticks me off.

I liked Iron Man 3. I really did. It was a good film. BUT.... How the villain was handled was the films main weakness. In this genre especially, if you don't have a good villain, you got nothin'. Or not much, anyway. IM3 took not one, but two potentially decent villains and straight-up cheated BOTH of them.

If they want to ruin the film - I guess they will. But it would be a crying shame.

I really, really really don't want them to go this route. And I don't want it to become a trend.

Early inside buzz from several movie bloggers (still under embargo until Monday) has been unanimously positive so far.

There will no doubt be some detractors, but it's looking pretty good so far.

It's not a tooth, on my world it means hope.

You will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will break teeth. But in time, they will join you in having awesome Gold caps. In time, you will help them accomplish dental wonders.

Re: The Man of Steel

Just got back from a screening of it. I won't / can't mention any spoilers or plot, but definitely my favorite movie of the year. I saw it in 3d, and want to go watch it again in 2D once general release hits.

Trailers did not include Hobbit DoS, but were of a movie called Gravity and an extended cut of Pacific Rim.

Cavill did a fantastic job, as did Shannon, Adams, Costner, Lane, and all of the other cast. Awesome movie.

:hi5:
