Re: The Man of Steel

Superman doesn't wear red undies and Lois doesn't have dark hair.

WORST. MOVIE. EVER.

Its funny 'cause its true.

I still remember two year's worth of fighting on Superhero Hype over the fact that the Green Goblin's costume got changed. Forget Dafoe's wonderful performance, it was all a sham because he wasn't wearing a rubber Halloween mask and a ragged cape. OMG POWER RANGER!!!

Then Spider-Man 3 came out, and everyone got a look at the joke that was Green Goblin 2. Suddenly that futuristic armor was looking preeeeeetty good!

People are hilarious.

Re: The Man of Steel

Although it would of been nice if he looked like a goblin. Not with a mask but with makeup or something and yea new goblin was a joke.

Re: The Man of Steel

you will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will break teeth. But in time, they will join you in having awesome gold caps. In time, you will help them accomplish dental wonders.

oh no it's starting!!!!

Why would fanboys complain? Wait, don't answer that.

Because they complain by default? :lol

Actually, there are 1 or 2 specific things I'm pretty sure some purists will gripe about (not related to the costume) but I obviously can't say what they are.

There will be full spoilers all over the Internet come Monday, though. That's when the embargo for bloggers and reviewers lifts. I'm muted until next Friday (no fair!! :monkey1).

As long as those changes are in the interest of telling the best possible story, I will have no problem with them. No comic book movie has ever been a 100% faithful recreation of the comic it was based on. Hell even certain details change between comic writers in the same series. I always say tell the best possible story, and if you make changes just don't bastardize the character.

Ie; i'm ready to complain first thing monday morning. :lol

Did you ever see the makeup test for Goblin?

https://www.thatvideosite.com/v/4331/green-goblin-make-up-test

When you see what could have been you'll understand why the Goblin armor is a distant second best.

Re: The Man of Steel

Well, they went with the armored suit protecting human psycho vs human psycho turned creature.

Why an armored suit needed a monster head though is beyond me, I guess to project the monster that's inside.

Has Jor-el ever worn an armor suit in the comics?

He has one now. :lol

I bet Lex will get a hold of one of those Kryptonian armors. :panic:

Kryptonians have worn all kinds of crazy stuff in the comics over the years. Krypton is probably the one element of the Superman mythos that has been constantly re-imagined in the books.

Well, if thats the case I would've preferred a black Jor-el who rides a white unicorn.

Missed opportunity. :gah:
