Re: The Man of Steel

I just got the deluxe steelbook soundtrack. What's the name of the Main theme used in the trailer?

That´s "What are you going to do, when you´re not saving the world".

Congrats on that, hope I ordered it.
There was an item at amazon.de with no description, but with the picture of the deluxe edition, branded as an import.
Amazon stil has no infos.
Hope that´s it.
STEELbook score for Man of STEEL ftw...

Re: The Man of Steel

Just got back from NYC after an incredible MAN OF STEEL WEEKEND! I attended the Katie Couric show that featured the ENTIRE lead Cast of the film! Also was able to check out the red carpet at the World Premiere. Met some amazing people and had a good time. And yes, i met the Man Of Steel himself Henry Cavill!!!

The only thing is i havent scene the movie yet!!! :panic:

Re: The Man of Steel

:(

So, what did you thunk?

The first half is the origin story we all know. Krypton has flying things from Avatar. Crowe and Costner (the two Robin Hoods) were good fathers. Clark Kent struggles as he grows up in Smallville and adjusts to his powers. We've seen it all before, but never with so much shaky cam and lens flare.

Then Zod arrives on Earth and livens up the second half. You get some genuinely super sized action and fighting. Some truly epic visuals and destruction on a massive scale. It was fun seeing Superman unleash his full power on an evenly matched opponent and smash the town to pieces in the process.

I think this will give people the action and visuals they wanted in Superman Returns but didn't get, although possibly at the expense of story and character development.

It was really good but not fantastic.

You seeing again in theater?

Buying on DVD?

Re: The Man of Steel

I will see it again on the big screen and buy the Blu-ray.

It was like two movies in one--the origin movie and the sequel where they kick the action up a notch and increase the scale. Once they get past the origin stuff and Zod arrives, you eventually get some really large scale action.

Re: The Man of Steel

Superman is destined to have the most depressing superhero movies of the 21st century. I need a shower to wash away the destruction and angst.
