Yeah, B-Sing doesn't get enough credit. Superman Returns outgrossed Batman Begins. I'm half-hoping Man of Steel does worse.
Saw it tonight and loved it. I truly don't get where all the cynicism is coming from.
It definitely felt like a modern version of this iconic character... I don't feel it was morose or sad at all. In the end it was very hopeful and optimistic... but not overly saccharin.
I have a feeling that there's an even better director's cut out there... the thing moves at lightning speed and there are elements I definitely could have used more of.
I will admit the destruction is huge but these are meant to be gods battling on our soil... Superman is definitely set up to be the biggest and baddest superhero of them all and the scope fits somehow... I imagine there's a scene with Kal-el helping with the clean up somewhere out there.
And, yes, it does have one of the best final lines of a film ever.
I'm resisting all urges to read reviews, but if it really is worse than IM3 I'll be a Prometheus fanboy for a week. Ugh...![]()
60% now..still dropping...if this goes into the 50's I will no longer trust anything to do with RT. I can see that MOS has issues, and some people won't like it. But it's quality entertainment. Deserves at least mid to late 70's.![]()
I have not seen the movie yet so I cannot comment on it, but I have heard the soundtrack and I have to say that I really don't like it. Others claim to have heard a theme somewhere, I wish they would show where it was because all I hear is piano, and drums. Lots and lots of drums. The music reminded me of that SNL skit with Will Farrel. I can hear Zimmer right now, "if Snyder wants more drum, I say we give him more drum!"
Maybe after I watch the movie I'll have a different view of Zimmer's work, but for right now I am not liking what I am hearing.
No. Because the first was unique, and interesting. This one looks dull and pointless.
As someone who's never read a word of an Iron Man comic, iron man 3 was pretty poor
Ill judge for myself on MoS as I always do
Seeing this tomorrow morning the critics want this movie to fail is Zack Synder not really that well liked in Hollywood?
