Man of steel: Superman 1:6 scale iconic statue

OK I got them both today! And I'll be the first to admit... you guys were right about the poor paint job on Superman, especially the face.

But I still really like these guys, they look great together! And I can see Cavill's likeness there, just needs better paint.

And at this price, I am going to attempt a repaint of superman and not be to overly neurotic about botching it up!

This one's my favorite, with the over-lighting they look perfect!

Damn I hate being right some times. Dude I hope the reprint goes well m8.

Great repaints! Better paint on Supes really looks like it makes a HUGE difference.

thanks. yeah the likeness is there. but its too smooth and generic, the translucent skin and flat eyes do not help. I don't think well know for sure until we start seeing the movie

Great job on the repaints. Now if you could re-fabric Superman's cape to a color closer to the S on his chest you'd have almost a whole new statue.

thanks, i used americana acrylics...cocoa and calico red for a base tone and medium flesh dry brush on top, mixture all 3 to the lips and eye sockets (knuckle area, red'er on palms and finger tips) red wash on eyes and white/gray to dim the whites, black for eyebrows and hairline where you overpaint, i couldnt walk you through it for the life of me lol. my only tip would be work slow and have fun
really only took about 20 mins

, thanks, i actually really like the cape, and its not worth an upgrade, id have to commission that and the wire is soooooo nice for posing, i have no issue with the color or material at all

...And here I thought that a company called DC Collectibles might know that Superman's eyes are blue.

Thanks for the nice greeting and compliment. I like the way Catwoman turned out the paint is not perfect but for the price I got her for I cannot complain much. I would have loved for them to have sculpted her with her goggles up, I fill that the sculpted might have took the simple route and just painted her with the googles on. It was a easier way for him to get out of painting her face, which sucks because as it is she looks just like Anne who I think is really hot by the way lol

Bane looks awesome as well, I would like to get some of the villains in this form like the Bane, the Joker that is hard to find now, and Zod. I know that hot toys maybe better but I just like the statue format more. I was thanking about getting the Green Lantern one as well but I don't know about that especially if they reboot it, on the other had if they made Sinestro from the movie I might reconsider lol
