The thing is, and you basically say it right in this post, is that any IN STORY reason [excuse] given as to why Bucky wasn't "ready" for the shield is just that - an excuse. The OUTSIDE reason was blatantly obvious, and it had nothing to do with character development or the story or whether or not Bucky was "ready" (which really would've made Bucky taking the shield all the more compelling IN STORY).

I think that's what I'll do- re: youtube good Bucky moments. I know how big a fan you are of these characters and a lot of the issues you list here in regard to how Bucky is handled are things that would just make the viewing experience worse for me. I worried they would nerf him or or have to "lessen" him in some way (like being a charge in hothead - just like, from some reviews I've read and you mention, it seems like they changed Sam to make the story work).

I was waiting until Loki came out to get D+ and then watch all the shows, and now I'm feeling apprehensive about Loki, and how they're going to write/treat the character. He's my favorite, so if he's written poorly in his own series, that will seriously damage the franchise for me going forward. I'm already struggling to have interest in many of the upcoming movies, and a lot of the other series announced aren't anything I'm excited about.

Well, they did:(. Basically he was embracing lots of humility and the series worked around, or forgot, Bucky's skill set - comic and/or movies, for the most part. It was uneven too; one minute he's nerfed and the next kicking butt.:google

At the end of the day - IMO given the exact same story, with what we know of the former fist of Hydra, he wouldn't have needed Sam at all, to solve the problem; since what happens IMO is more in his wheelhouse. Also there's some comments about Steve, or other, that didn't go over with the warm and fuzzy feeling I have about Steve Rogers, and how he treated others:pfft:. I know what they were doing; why they were doing it; but there's things IMO you just don't do.

To be fair, Bucky was given SOME good moments and it's d@mn shame the glimpses of dry humor (probably something Sebastian Stan picked up researching the comics) weren't given more free rein in this series. But, I have the overall impression that the showrunner viewed Bucky as just along for the ride, and another vehicle to lecture at. Actually found myself disliking Falcon off and on, and up to this series he was one of the Holy Trio:crying. This show was very badly misrepresented as to the overall tone in the PR material.

I'm less worried about Loki - another fav of mine; and I will be keeping my Loki HT PO. But I'm gonna take a hard look at who the showrunner and writers are re anything MCU onward, and check on who is behind the Loki series:horror. If Malcom Spellman is behind another MCU project, including anything FWS, I'm gonna pass. But Feige is to blame as he's the head boss.

Looks like CA 4 has been green lit by Disney with Spelman writing again. Yikes.
No more guns for Bucky and lots of preaching and kid gloves for terrorists from Sam.

Amongst other things, that really doesn't sit well with me. Carli and company murder prisoners, innocent people and non-combatants to send a message. They're terrorists by definition and go against everything Rogers' Cap ever stood for, and now his hand-picked successor Sam is saying "Don't call them terrorists!"

Seriously...who green-lit this garbage? I was drowsy from my first vaccination when I watched this and didn't like it, now that I'm waking up I *really* don't like it.

I didn't have an issue with Isaiah's story but the rest of this show is really poorly written and characterized.

Carli trying to say sorry to Walker for Lamars death was a joke. She was actively trying to murder the new Capt. America and was going in for the kill with a knife while her two friends were holding his arms. She didn’t have a moral leg to stand on. She was a murdering beeotch. Bucky shouldve just double tapped her and called it a series.

See! Even the woke don't like it!

Oh we want to hear what you have to say. I am willing to sacrifice your family for the gasoline you'll pour on this thread. :rotfl

It?s a shame how everything was super rushed to the finish line.

But LOL @ woke Flag Smashers getting blown to smithereens by an eastern european white butler that is some funny ass **** :rotfl

That was hilarious. Maybe the real bummer about this show; there's flashes of what could have been:monkey2

You know a show is creatively bankrupt when they create a scenario that requires a hostage senator who also just happens to be a helicopter pilot that Falcon instantly recognizes this in a split second then smashes thru a helicopter window to push the pilot out so that the senator could then fly the helicopter.

Convoluted is an understatement.

The show lost me right there.

Oh man... Someone needs to tell the writers of this show that you are supposed to stick the landing not stink up the landing.

This!!!!!

And maybe the whole ?I?m a black cap, I can feel the eyes of hate on me?

In the real world maybe how ever many true white nationalist out there would be unhappy but I don?t think anyone else would care what color a Captain America would be.

We would be more upset with him comparing the USA to ISIS. :lol

Yep as if he needed Redwing to tell him that the woman would have the skills to save the day, duh!

Sam: "Redwing, quick I need to know if there are any women, minorities, or Twitter blue checkmarks on board!"

Redwing: "Chirpity chirp chirp!"

Sam: "Okay Mr. Wendig I'm gonna need you to take the controls in five seconds..."
