Marvel, Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, Which Line is for you?

LotR first but since that line no longer exists, I've gotten into Marvel. PF's only!

the first PF i got was a free James Bond...
but then I started getting the SW PFs
and then quickly surpassed the SWs with Marvel PFs and comiquettes.

With this recent thing with Boba Fett, I think i'm going to put most of my focus on Marvel, and taper down from SW.

I'm scaling back Marvel - not that interested in the characters and DCD is filling in with characters I care about more.

I do agree with Gruson though - marvel is sideshows best line, and is really hard to turn away from buying some of those awesome marvel statues, vs line, or busts.

I just buy whatever I love and connet with. But curently, my LOTR collection outweighs all else.

I currently collect all three, though if I had to choose just one I'd have to go with LOTR. I've loved Marvel for many many years, and Star Wars has also been one of my all time favorite escapes, but I'm still looking forward to what more SSC has in store for all of their LOTR lines. In the meantime I'm really enjoying all the renewed excitement with Aliens and Predators.. Hot Toys is doing some amazing, insane things with those licenses lately!

Much as I love my Star Wars, my heart is with my little 1/6 Lord of the Rings line. Hope we get some more!

I also have tons of Star Wars stuff, but no Marvel.

i picked star wars just because im a die hard fan and have only recently jumped into the marvel format. for the LOTR im gonna pick and choose the best representation of characters. so far my favorites from each line:
Lurtz PF (no contest there)
Obi Wan PF
Green Hulk PF (soon to change when the Capt. ships)

With all the people jumping onto the Marvel 'Bandwagon' and a lot of people dropping other lines to focus on Marvel, I thought it'd be interesting to see what percentage of you are going to focus on a certain line, or if you will collect all three.

I actually did the opposite--I dropped out of Marvel to focus on Star Wars.I don't collect the LOTR 12" line and the LOTR PF line is going so slowly that it's no challenge to keep up with that one. I am going to be slowing WAY down on the Star Wars 12" line and just focusing primarily on the PFs. I just like them so much more that the 12" guys can't compare. You may not agree, but as for my money and display space, it's the 1/4 scale pieces all the way.

I really like the LOTR stuff, but I don't have enough money for them. To me they are some of the best stuff that Sideshow has done. The Lurtz PF is just amazing, and so are the 12" figures. But again, I have to stick to what I like most and that's Star Wars.


Although I will try to get the Serenity replica from QMx, if it's ever made...

I myself am still buying Star Wars PF's and 12", but I buy way more Marvel than SW. I am being very selective when it comes to the SW PF line though. Right now, I'm just waiting for my Boba Fett PF, he's a beauty!
