Rhodey has been Iron Man in the comics at several points in the series run, Tony stepping aside to be the inventor and maintainer on the suit. This would work well for the movie series as well.

CA:TWS has been the best Phase 2 film, if not the best Marvel Studios film period. Winter Soldier had a solid plot and political overtones that commented on our emerging police surveillance society.
I like the Iron Man films but 2 and 3 are less plot drive and more character stuff "look at the giant bunny!". IF there is an Iron Man 4 they need to work on the script next time. Too much improv in the last two films.

The Hollywood Reporter is saying that May 2018 date will most likely be for Avengers 3
