lol so true, well said.

Sony will reboot Spiderman during a meeting about rebooting Spiderman.

Even if the MCU deal ends after 2 or 3 films, they'll have to either reboot with another actor, or continue with Tom Holland as Spidey, but suddenly every single MCU reference from his world disappears without any explanation....even the biggest building in NY, the Avengers tower will vanish :lol

Sony's reboot will have to take place in Miami. :lol

Like Fox and the X-Men, SONY has only scratched the surface of what they can do with Spider-Man.

They can always introduce Miles Morales, which might happen in the MCU.

I'd rather see Spider-Man 2099 than some Venom film.

I checked out the new trailer this morning.

I'm a huge Spider-Man fan, and I think I'm just getting burnt out. It looks good, but not "OMG!! Wooowwwweeeee!!!!" I'm more excited about Wonder Wonder and Guardians at the moment.

I think part of it is me being nervous to get too invested into the franchise only to have it rebooted again.

Yea I'm still scared this might not be good so I won't get excited like I did for asm2

Man, I just don't know how to feel about this. I think it looks great, trailer looks great, and I read this the other day and it got me really excited about Vulture, especially with Keaton in the role:

But seeing how they show Pete unmasked with him, and considering how Marvel treat all their villains, yeah, I can't imagine Keaton getting anything more than the Robocop treatment, again.

Nah, more like SONY made a deal they never should have made and one that they are now reminding people is limited.

Lol dude get over it. Spider-Man needed this. Winter soldier did better then him in 2014. His brand was slowing fading cause of bad movies

I was only fooled by Spider-Man 3.

After SM1 and SM2, I thought SM3 was going to be amazing.

I never thought The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 looked great when I saw the trailers.

Homecoming looks like it's going to be better than the last 3 Spidey films, but I don't think they will be better than SM2.

It might not even be better than the first SM film, but it does offer a different type of origin story. It's a high school Spider-Man in a world of super heroes and him finding his place in this universe should be interesting.

That's why I won't be hyped by the trailers like I use to. Fool me once. Sony makes good trailers but rarely delivers.

>Intelligent and mature approach to CBM
>Uses Deadpool as example

:lol

Your Deadpool bashing cracks me up.

But I can appreciate the irony, that a movie which roasts the formula that will eventually kill this genre is put down in defense of a movie that embodies the very thing Miller, Rheese and Wernick set out to roast.

spiderman 3 was the closest the movies got to being like the cartoon :dunno

SM2 was the perfect sequel as far as continuing and expanding everything that was introduced in the first film.

SM3, ruined the Peter and MJ relationship by creating unnecessary problems involving the blonde chick, which goes nowhere.

It ruined the death of his uncle jut to connect it somehow to Sandman.

It ruined Harry Osborne by giving him amnesia and then making him bad and then good again...wut?

Venom/Eddie Brock was poorly established and rushed.

Even the introduction of the symbiote was poorly done when they could have connected it to JJ's son trip to space, but it randomly fell from the sky and latch onto Peter's bike? :lol

Then there was emo Peter and the dancing...

The action was cool though, but the story was a mess after a perfect sequel.

Cause venom? How? Sandman and new goblin weren't in the cartoon.

not the characters

the style, the many plots at once, the fights, the revenge stuff, various people wanting to kill spiderman at the same time. the team up at the end.

That never really happened in the cartoons. venom wanted to kill spiderman on his own. The fights were like the cartoon and spiderman was reluctant to team up with other heroes.
In a strange way it is like the cartoon

Plus almost everything involving the symbiote was ripped from the Venom saga IIRC

And there it is. SONY is def backtracking on the deal with Marvel.

Spidey's time in the MCU is limited.

Could possibly end. Nothing in the article, that I saw, said Spidey's time in the MCU was finished.
Um, but people like it. Like....most people. :dunno

Nearly everyone I know enjoys Marvel movies.

Agreed.

IMO Sony would be stupid to not sign another agreement with Disney.
