Yup that's why I don't buy into the whole high school hate when the only great Spiderman movie was with old man Tobey and snaggleboob girl.

High school Spiderman still needs his great movie and no Spiderman 1 doesn't count that was old man Tobey playing a kid.

I also heard a rumor that the real reason the ASM franchise ended was because Andrew Garfield didn't show up to some Japanese Sony meeting (or some other nonsense), and Sony was offended by this so they fired him.

They should just make a film about Sony trying to make a long-lasting Spider-Man franchise... Kind of like how they should have made a film about Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray trying to make Ghostbusters III instead of that bloody reboot.

The other part was the problems with Pascal about the story and he got mad of how they ruined the script

...and the inner turmoil in Sony prior to and after the release of the movie. The Sony Hack e-mails are hilarious...Marvel makes fun of their ASM2 script, the Sony Execs pitch 3 billion for the Spidey rights back and STILL want partial ownership. They were in full panic mode after ASM2 didn't meet their expectations...

It wasn't only Garfield.
