The MCU always breaks budget, no matter what.

Universal doesn't.

So, the 2 MCU movies this year so far are:

GOTG2: 860 Mil
SM:H: 570 Mil

That's 1.4 billion dollars.

And, that doesn't include Thor 3 coming later this year.

Look, I'm not a MCU superfan by any means, but credit is due where it's owed. They've successfully kicked every franchise's ass.
