Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Oh but come on. Remember dat time Heath Ledger gotz casted az Joker? Waits and seee man. Qft :lecture

I'm sorry Biojex but GasparZizou said he's not going to watch the new MCU Spider-Man. We can only assume that he'll stay true to his word and never actually view it. Ever.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Assa, Holland, I have no idea who these kids are. :lol

Amazes me that people could even have preferences. Atleast Maguire and Garfield had some solid films in their resume for me to know who they were (not that unknowns are bad).

I said that? I had no idea, are those the Chinese subtitles for "dropped"? :lol

Don't worry, my hype was the only thing that dropped, for now, but well pepe'd nevertheless.

I didn't know and didn't care about who the **** Maguire or Garfield were before their Spider-men. :lol

When Maguire was announced I was like, oh, the dude from Pleasantville, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and the Cider House Rules. With Garfield, it was, the guy from the Social Network.

There was a point of reference. With these little bros, I have no say in the matter.

_

Yeah, wasn't into movies this much when I was 13 and naturally haven't seen "Pleasantville" or "Cider House Rules" back there.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Damn, I thought you were older than me!

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

I'm used to it. I even have gray at the temples, which is odd for a 26 y.o. fella. :lol

When Maguire was announced I was like, damn.

When Garfield was axed I was like, damn.

Fast losing interest in Spidey with the constant reboots.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

So they finally found a guy. I'll see if he's he's good. Hopefully he has the wit and geekness down.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

I have a feeling that Infinity War 2 will be an easy "jumping off" point for the MCU so I hope they go out with a bang. As a kid I dreamed of one day getting to see awesome Captain America/Spider-Man/Wolverine/etc movies but not of one day getting to see 20 of them. 1-3 quality movies with each character is more than enough.

Imagine if we had 10 Peter Weller RoboCop movies. It just isn't necessary.

:exactly:

Remember that list of 21 scbm before 2020 I put up, even if only half of them are great our collections will be in great shape, close the book after that.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

I liked Garfield myself. Rather they just would've continued with him. Oh well.

Based on the posts I've seen, a lot of these preferences are apparently cosmetic ones. I've got no real opinion, except that I think there's truth in what the Marvel.com article says about there being a pretty rigorous review process by people with some good sense at Marvel. I'll be fairly optimistic about things until they do something to suggest that I shouldn't be. This isn't Sony going off on its own anymore, and it sure as **** ain't WB.
