Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

You say that like the people criticizing hollywood for unrealistic beauty standards are the same people complaining about his mole :lol

I'm sure there are plenty of forum members here doing that though :lol

For god's sake, man, do you know where we are? It's a hive of scum and villainy where the point of order for the day is that Wonder Woman is terrible because she isn't an E-cup.:lol

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

The kid looks fine. Andrew Garfield said it best, that the actor doesn't matter, it's the suit that sells.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Asa would of been good but I'll give Holland a shot. Seems like a legit Peter/Spidey. Hopefully this is it for Spider-Man and we don't get anymore reboots.

I've never witnessed anything hypocrifal on this board, good sir. How dare you insinuate such things.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Solid choice. We'll see how this kid does and he's at a good age for the role. Considering how the MCU has been, all I'm hoping for now is some "consistency" with a Spider-man actor and continuing storyline. I think Spider-man is already in plans for all the "post-Avengers" Marvel movies so I'm sure their intent is to keep him around as Spidey for a while.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

He looks like that kid from the Iron Giant to me, haha

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Change it to "Spider-man's casual fans are stupid ***holes" for accuracy.
Even in Russia there are tons of cretins seriously whining about Spidey being a 19 y.o. teenager. :lol

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

If Marvel Studios is taking the route of showing us Spidey when he was still in high school, wouldn't it make sense to hire someone who is a teenager to help accurately depict the character? As long as he's not emo then I think it will turn out ok.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Hoping this kid is good like Garfield in the role he was the close to being Spidey for me.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Who will the villain be? I think I would be hard pressed if D'Onfrio's Fisk didn't at least make a cameo. Maybe at some point he creates the sinister six? Can tv characters cross over into films, or is only the other way around?

Why does the thought of D'Onofrio's Fisk sharing the screen with the youngest Spiderman we've ever had seem really bizarre to me.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Because you can't see him chopping spideys head off with a car door? :lol

That be it. Or anyone else for that matter. You don't have a Spiderman film with that sort of thing happening. They want the widest audience possible.

Re: Marvel Studios/Sony - SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW AVENGER

Yeah I don't want some kid Spidey getting to crack wise at D'Onofrio's Fisk and getting away with it. Just wouldn't seem right.

On a side note did anyone else get a Wilson Fisk vibe when D'Onofrio's voice lowered a bit in Jurassic World when he told the story of his pet wolf? "We had an...unshakable bond..."

I can imagine The quip exchange

Spidey: hey Fisk, hows your dad?

Fisk: hows your uncle?

Blood...nothing but blood for the rest of the film :lol

I did! That was the one moment I noticed too.

:lol :lol :lol

Fisk almost started a cold war. :lol

Maybe he could start....a Civil War
