Yeah, the force can't do that, and much much more, hell, I wonder what made them think Spiderman could even move if Maul immobilized him with the force, since Spidey can't use the force to fight that off.


Nope, Vader and Maul are pretty close if not on the same level, to the point that Vader could only Kill a Maul clone by shoving a lighsaber through his own body when Maul had him pinned down, both have variable skills as fighter and force used but overall around the same level.


Which assassin has he been put up against that has done something like taking down an entire galaxy spanning criminal organization by himself?


In sheer brute force maybe, nothing Maul can't dodge and cut down.

Maul wasn't fast enough to slice obiwan when he jumped from that pit and sliced him in to.

If darth maul was so strong then why didn't he just force push kenobi down the pit when he was clinging for dear life on that ledge thing. If your referring to the books to state how strong maul is are they even canon anymore?

Fair enough, if the books aren't canon then I don't know how this affects the discussion, if it's not canon it's not canon. I just can't be bothered with all this butchering Disney has done to the old canon to find out what's canon and what's not

They're part of my headcanon though, cause they're very good.

Some of the old games are also great, like Dark Forces.

Parker had a roommate called Michelle in the Slott era (which is still going strong...). Chameleon impersonated him and got laid with her. After a few issues she was out of the book. A minor character who could be getting a new spin. Or Michelle is a fake name for either Liz Allen or even a new take on Lilly Hollister. I don't think they're going to race-bend MJ or Gwen and pick a teen-singer. I mean, not to be a c@nt, but come on, the girl's not a good enough actress to handle Gwen or MJ. Then again, most folks want Bella Thorne for MJ, who stared alongside Zendaya in "Shake it Up" (or something like that, just another bull-cr@p Disney show), so I guess anything's possible.

she's certainly beautiful enough to be MJ and a far better choice than Dunst or the girl who was so fugly they cut her out of the last film

I think Elle Fanning should be Gwen and one of the Parker rejects should be Harry

Zendaya casting automatically gets the tween girl demographic, she's a pretty big name on Disney Channel. Considering the focus is going to be on Spidey's HS days, getting the younger kids interested is likely high on Sony/Marvel's priority list, and most boys probably already watch the Spider-Man animated series or are familiar with the character.

I wouldn't be too surprised if they give Peter a completely new love interest with Zendaya's character and not race-change Gwen and MJ for the MCU, with the possibility of introducing a MCU Spider-Gwen down the road.

Whoever she plays, she'll certainly be the best looking live action love interest for Peter Parker. She certainly has to be playing an important character since she's been cast right after Tom Holland.
