I dig the idea of Zane as Toomes, he's a very cool and charismatic actor.
They'd make him older via make up if needed.
I see no reason for this re-casting, if it's true.

Man their production values are amazing, if only the acting was that good too

Yeah I know, I never read that, but I have read opinions on it that say Firelord jobbed. That that fight is the equivalent to Deathstroke making the Flash trip
Spidey is around the level of an average fighter padawan, and Darth Maul eats Jedi masters for breakfast.

There are always inconsistencies in comics...even the way Maul "died" in the film made no sense, considering he had the higher ground...sounds familiar

Yeah that's true, Maul handed both Qui Gon and Obi Wan their ***** and he was killed by **** writing, same thing happened here
But I mean, if these things were consistent with the power levels of the characters, Maul would be on his way back to Sheev with the symbiote before Spiderman's pieces cool down

Nah son. Spiderman has his own fighting techniques and spidey sense and also fights dirty, and taunts. Yea darth maul can fend off Jedi but not a super powered being such as spiderman who's feats are not to be looked down upon.
