Eh, I'm cool with it. Zendaya's hawt anyway. I mean, when they put 2 tons of make-up on her she resembles JSC MJ, so eh. There are worse things out there...

Eh, she's generally very bland. As far as "teen"-stars go, she's the worst. I mean, she's 24! Meanwhile, you've got Margot Robbie and J-Law at 26, and both of them blow her out of the water. Even Zendaya, at 19 is much, much better looking than her. She was a much worst choice than Dunst for MJ.

There's definitely this big steer towards diversifying historic comic characters with different races. This is nothing big in Hollywood as we've seen it with movies, but something relatively fresh for superhero movies...especially when it comes to "bigger" and more established roles.

We now have a half-black/half-white MJ.

They changed 'The Ancient One' from an old Asian Man to a non-gender specific middle-age Woman in "Dr.Strange"

Baron Mordo is now a black guy (also Dr.Strange).

Heimdall is a black guy.

Johnny Storm became a black guy.

There's definitely this big steer towards diversifying historic comic characters with different races. This is nothing big in Hollywood as we've seen it with movies, but something relatively fresh for superhero movies...especially when it comes to "bigger" and more established roles.

It's unfortunate that the decent things about the 1997 Spawn film get overshadowed by the rubbish things about it - which in fairness is like 30 / 70 anyway.

I'm a fan of the movie & the book (the early stuff). MJW as Al Simmons was perfect, Leguizamo as Clown was brilliant, & the Spawn suit & practical stuff was excellent. The rest was a combination of wet poo & vomit put into a blender & served in a sports drink bottle.
