I felt like Rocket changed from the Rocket we saw in Guardians 1 and 2. Did Gunn write his lines for IW/Endgame?

Felt like Rocket was sidelined for most of Endgame too.
???????? He was with the team (& piloted the ship) when they went to confront Thanos, he went with Prof. Hulk to get Thor, he accompanied Thor when they went back in time to Asgard to get the Aether, and he was part of the final battle. He probably had more lines then everyone save for Tony...

They should’ve kept the alternate ending where Cap snapped everyone back into existence and still made his 6pm dinner appointment.
At Dorsia.

Who cares about a racoon anyway? WTF is he going to do in the final battle, hurt Thanos with sarcasm?

The not so Incredible Hulk is the real tragedy of IW/EG saga. To get defeated so easily by Thanos and then act like a coward for the rest of the second most watched film ever is criminal. Then, when he finally shows up as a taco eating Millenial nerd that criticizes the very nature of the angry Hulk, he doesn't even get a rematch against Thanos in the final battle. Tony had his moment, Cap had his moment, f******* Scarlet Witch and Capt Marvel had their moments against Thanos, but Hulk, what did he get...oh yeah, he got his soul punched out of his body by the Ancient one. He can't even be a match against a tiny bald lady in the most watched film ever!! It's not fair. He got his *** kicked in Thor 3 too. 😔

Yep possibly EG's biggest misstep. All they had to do was give Captain Marvel's moment to Hulk. He had a score to settle and there's absolutely no reason they had to let her take out Thanos' ship *and* fight him one on one.

Might be the only thing the Russos didn't get right. I thought though that Ruffalo had a chat about the arc of Hulk with Feige, so maybe it was out of their hands. Whedon definitely liked his Hulk moments. Drax needed his moment too with Thanos and never got it, which Bautista mentioned his disappointment to, including everything else that he isn't featured in. :lol

Yeah, at the end of GOTG, his goal was to kill Thanos to avenge his family, but I knew they weren't going to have Thanos be taken down by Drax. They can't have Thanos be a punching bag for everyone that has a score to settle either, so maybe Drax should have found out that his Family was killed by Black Dwarf or Corvus Glaive, maybe Proxima Midnight. That way he can settle the score against someone on his level.

I swear, if She-Hulk beats up Hulk in the Disney + show....

I was thinking they might rewrite her origin story. Instead of Jennifer Walters getting a blood transfusion from Bruce, Bruce simply transitions to female and takes that name. Given how they neutered him in IW & Endgame, it seems a natural progression. If Bruce Jenner can do it, so can Bruce Banner! :lol

Can you imagine? Jaws' head would explode!!

Their excuse for not helping The Avengers is just about passable. I imagine all post Infinity War MCU films will have to address that issue.

Nothing will beat Captain Marvel's poor excuse of being too busy to help out.

I remember Feige declaring Cap Mavel was to be the most powerful MCU character to date......

Huh??!?!? Sorry Odin & Thanos, but it's females rule, boys drool time.

:rotfl

(Couldn't resist :lol )

Agree though, Hulk should've emerged after professor Hulk snapped and had a rematch with Thanos, come to think, I would've liked to have seen some more characters battle at it with Thanos.

(This fan made video depiction is cool, woul've liked to see something like it.)

I wouldn’t say MCU Thanos was nerfed, even without the stones in Endgame he could swat the “big three” around like flies. Look how much punishment he endured in that movie.

‘What If..?’ Thanos? Now that’s a blatant nerf.

The only reason I can come up with for them nerfing Hulk in EG not related to toxic male syndrome is that they are leading to world breaker Hulk.

Markus and McFeeley are the only writers credited for End Game. With IW, the Russos wanted to have a "collaborative approach" so there were a lot of other directors and writers involved, Gunn especially.

IMO End Game was really a love letter of sorts to the original Avengers - well, anyway, neither film what what I was expecting or hoping for, except for me there is some good stuff - IMO that scene with Cap limping towards Thanos was worth a ticket (and being in a theater opening day with everyone cheering).

Dunno about Rocket but thought that Gunn had really softened up Gamora by GOTG 2, so now I guess he's gonna slingshot the character back to being feisty again.

Hopefully Gunn does a good job writing the characters in Guardians 3.
