Well I would go with what I consider to be the obvious choice which is the 1976 Kirby original The Eternals.

Kirby was conflicted during that era so you are getting an amalgamation of Marvel and DC Kirby.

Start there then jump on Thor and the Eternals from 1979 lots of fun

Is that the guy from Superbad in the back to the left?

Also I get such power ranger energy from them . They look silly

It's not McLovin. He's the guy from Dunkirk who gets banged on the head inside the boat. Or the main kid from The Killing Of A Sacred Deer, if you've seen that.

Maybe you know since your well versed in comics but what is it that these weirdos actually do? Do they play an important role in the marvel universe or is it just marvel scraping the absolute bottom of the barrel for z listers like Shang chi to keep the universe afloat.

In all my years I?ve never heard of any of these people nor have I seen them take part in a marvel book.

They look like if Hollywood were to make a gritty Bible man reboot

Celestials, AKA Ancient Aliens (but they're sometimes God-Like) started seeding planets ala Prometheus, and Eternals were kind of "sepherds" to safeguards humans. Kree looked at them and said "we'll do our own" so they experimented on some proto-"humans" and boom, here come the INhumans. Mutants were the result of the Celestial code in the genes and whatever if you go by those Paradise/Planet X books. Nowadays humans are the result of Celestial puke and mutants existed before humans and... it's all ****ing ********. Watch the flick if it looks cool, but don't bother with the lore. They're Z-Listers. At least they're more interesting than Shang goddamn Chi, due to all the space stuff. Eh, might be a fun 2 hours.

Not even Salma Hayek's glorious 54 year old ta-tas can save this pile of dog****.

I wonder why Angelina Jolie isn't featured. Her character only seems to be in one group shot. Since there hasn't even been a trailer not sure why folks are prejudging. I only read a couple of Eternals comics as a kid so not terribly familiar with the team, but I do think the costumes look cool. Very "Kirbyish."

It might be down the the race and gender swapping of some characters as well as the generic costumes compared to the comic book counterparts. I've never heard of them before so maybe the comics were bad as well. Phase 4 in general seems to be getting quite a bit of flak and I can see why. Nothing will top the infinity saga, although I am looking forward to DS and Thor.

It's easy to stand on the sidelines and throw rocks, I'm aware that it's a challenge, but I think they would have been better off to use some of the WandaVision and Falcon stuff in a film, and start very strong with the Fantastic Four or something. But a combination of prep time and contractual stuff likely prevented it. A lot of this stuff has the feel of filler so far, although admittedly I'm curious to see if they can pull any of it off ...

I mean, picture it. The world is reeling post un-snappening. Scarlet Witch has PTSD, Dr. Strange is busy dealing with magical mystery stuff, Spidey has his own problems, Sam and Bucky are dealing with terrorists ... and we're introduced to The Fantastic Four in this weird new world and the rise of Dr. Doom. To me it would have felt right to roll right into some high stakes with the remains of the Avengers too busy or too fried from Infinity War to deal with it.

No, not really, consider this: it takes a sharp eye and very good aim to be effective. You have to pick the right rock. Contemplate your angle and trajectory. Account for target movement and other factors. And then make a successive strike. There is skill involved...

:D

Honestly they should have started off strong. Ghost rider, she hulk, daredevil, fantastic 4, maybe some more I haven?t mentioned. But yikes idk yea phase 4 seems very lack luster so far. I enjoyed that falcon and winter soldier but the ending was eh
