I literally thought the same thing and found it quite distracting.

But yeah I got the Lion King vibe too, especially when T'Challa collapsed causing the dust to spell "SJW" in the sky.

The action set pieces in CW is about a billion times better than anything from Blurry Panther errr Boring Panther errr Black Panther.

BP himself is better in CW than in his own movie lol

The last fight in CW was much more epic and better done that the playstation 2 battle at the end of BP

BP had the best action scenes of any character by far in CW, but there are times where both the action and story are the strongest points of a film (The Winter Soldier) and then there are instances like CW where it mostly feels like a kid playing with action figures in addition to a messy story. I wanted both IM and Cap to murder each other by the time their half hour fight was finished, LOL.

Sometimes I just like to relax with an MCU movie and let the story be the strong point of the film rather than the action, and this film did that just fine for me.

I also preferred his final exchange with Zemo to his last moment on the cliff with Killmonger. It doesn't mean BP was horrible or "needz 2 B stricken from da canon!!1!" but it's just not on par from the very recent CW or other top shelf MCU entries.

But the entire premise is based on a schoolyard arguement: who would win

They just add the "muh mutant powers are misunderstood" storyline so people with bad brains feel it is deep.

Not only the action choreography but the emotion behind the fight

Last fight of BP was clunky and having to wait for the train to pass deflected the tension and undermine the tension between them

Waiting for the train to pass was like when obi wan had to wait for those clear screens to open with darth in phantom menace.

I don't get why Empire magazine and Rotten Tomatoes praised the Hell out of that flick when it was just another BvS.
