This is one of the few movies displaying africa in a very positive light ( like coming to america did)
So of course this will go down in history as a game changing and influential movie.
This will live on long after people forget about thanos and the avengers.

20 years from now most people will not speak about hawkeye missing or the forced humor of thor 3,

But black panther will still be seen as a very important movie.

Then 100 years after cinema was created an all white superhero movie was released.

HELL YEAH I WOULD GO NUTS FOR IT EVEN IF IT DID SUCK lol

But now if it didn’t suck and it was just ok to good then PARTY!

I think in black families kids will absolutely be discussung this film in those terms they’re already interviewing families who have said those discussions are already taking place.

I think whites recognize this movie is HUGE for blacks.

Sure this is happening today, but I highly doubt 20, even 10 years from now this will still be a hot topic of discussion. At best, it gets relegated to black history month, which is still sad as there are much more important people/events in history to recognize and praise.

This was a movie made by a corporation (Disney) for monetary gain, praise and success. Just as WB/DC was praised for WW being the 1st female led comic movie (which was so untrue, Elektra or Catwoman anybody??), so will Disney/Marvel be praised for BP being the 1st all black movie or such (Shaq as Steel? But the cast wasn't all black). Remember these corporations are run by white folk, the scourge of the US socialist system.

I look forward to talking to my grand kids about the effect's BP had on me, my family and friends, and society in general. I can tell them where I was and what I was doing during such an important moment in history. Then we'll talk about the effects that Trump had as President of the US. They'll be so jealous that I got to experience BP 1st hand and have lived during these epic monumentous historical events.

Not happening blacks are way too proud and way too hungry for this movie to exist to turn on it like spoiled whites do on every movie because they’re buried to their eyeballs in white directed and white lead genre movies lol

What about anime? Anime has a huge black following ( michael b jordan himself is a mega fan) but u never heard of backlash.

This is true. This is what i talked about last week. The political side made it go to the top. The political undertones and the political marketing made people pay for kids to see it. My church took 25 kids to see it.

The problem is when people like ehollywood wants to deny the political push with this movie and they say " this is just a great comic movie like all other comic movies, there are no political undertones in its success AT ALL duhhhhhh ,"

Latino kids equally see latino characters as funny comedic side characters or gangsters or maids or gardeners.
When is disney going to adress this? Are we ever gonna get a latinos lives matter? Latinosface more police brutality than anyone else because of people hearing spanish being spoken and they automatically assume " illegal"
You should care about this. While hollywood is giving jon boyega a career and making black panther we still get the roles of janitors and baby sitters.

But in this society latinos are invisible. We dont matter. It took guillermo del toro ro make a movie about a fish dating a woman to win rhe oscar

No, does racism even exist over there? If it does, then they don't fear being called racist for calling out their observations. As do many countries.

No journalist here would dare be quoted saying BP was too black and only had 2 white characters, regardless of what they thought. They would instead praise it and rate it the highest comic book movie yet.
