Did the feminist articles keep you from seeing and enjoying Wonder Woman?
Short answer is no, but,

I live in an urban area which IS diverse. If you're a guy and went to Wonder Woman you're sensitive or gay or trans or forward-thinking. No problem. Also, word of mouth re WW like Homecoming grew - i finally went to Spidey because of positive WOM.

So I'm waiting for the methane to settle around BP. Another thing - re the fan event and opening weekend around here, it wouldn't stop me if i wanted to go, but racial-based harassment is a real possibility. It happens here; been through it and witnessed it. Nothing major but sux. It happens all the time whether people talk about it or not. Not sure if anyone not-black would be viewed as awesome or a target. I really don't know.:dunno Crowds have their own dynamics and it's a small percentage that are d****s.

(But then I get po'd thinking about it re who wants to deal with this **** just to see a movie, when I've spent and been a fan of the MCU and all of a sudden non-comic fans are co-opting part of the whole d*mn IW story into some social comment. Or maybe it's Marvel letting Coogler do his thing. But WW feminism/social comment didn't save JL re WW and it won't keep BP from tanking if it isn't a good film. Where were all those WW fans for JL?)

try to tell them this on twitter and watch them call you an alt right nazi troll or something... is already been happening whenever a white person tweets about wanting to see it

Twitter sucks tho. Everyone’s always fighting on there

Japan is a mostly closed market, people there are mostly xenophobic, yet there are huge non-Japanese anime loving comunities around the world. Godzilla is one of the most popular and recognizable monsters internationally.

I guess Japan's only makes this stuff becuase white people from other countries like it... :monkey3

They make them for Japan and anyone outside of Japan that happens to like it. ;) Godzilla had to be drastically changed by Hollywood to cater to white people. They even threw in your favorite Breaking Bad Actor. And who could forget the 98 version with Matthew Broderick?

You're talkin' about Holypoop made movies.
I talk about the actual franchise with fans across the world. That's 29 movies and tons of related media.

If you have zero clue regardin' the topic then don't try to use to prove your point, it makes you look dumb as a rock. :)

Didn't say that it worked, but they would've rather done that then go with a mostly Asian cast for GITS. LOL Some people actually liked the Godzilla movie that everyone hated. ;)

Let's be honest. Hollywood movies are the only ones that matter. :)

This statement just ruined your entire logic as it is ethnically unaware and demeaning to other cultural movie groups.

I'm guessing the reason you are pursuing this topic erratically is for some sort of function. I don't know why you've taken this path, but you are indeed aware that it will: A) create division among board members; B) your approach most certainly will not result in an "AHA!" moment for those that oppose: C) the argument will not result in winning anything.

I suggest you consider ceasing this argument altogether as it's producing poor results for you.
