Short answer is no, but,Did the feminist articles keep you from seeing and enjoying Wonder Woman?
I live in an urban area which IS diverse. If you're a guy and went to Wonder Woman you're sensitive or gay or trans or forward-thinking. No problem. Also, word of mouth re WW like Homecoming grew - i finally went to Spidey because of positive WOM.
So I'm waiting for the methane to settle around BP. Another thing - re the fan event and opening weekend around here, it wouldn't stop me if i wanted to go, but racial-based harassment is a real possibility. It happens here; been through it and witnessed it. Nothing major but sux. It happens all the time whether people talk about it or not. Not sure if anyone not-black would be viewed as awesome or a target. I really don't know. Crowds have their own dynamics and it's a small percentage that are d****s.
(But then I get po'd thinking about it re who wants to deal with this **** just to see a movie, when I've spent and been a fan of the MCU and all of a sudden non-comic fans are co-opting part of the whole d*mn IW story into some social comment. Or maybe it's Marvel letting Coogler do his thing. But WW feminism/social comment didn't save JL re WW and it won't keep BP from tanking if it isn't a good film. Where were all those WW fans for JL?)
