I miss the days of Blade where it was praised for being awesome and wasn't a springboard for virtue signaling.

It's hard to believe how much dumber and arrogant society has become in 18 years.

None of those compare to Black Panther. Those were low budget comedy movies and Blade was a minority in his own movie. Black Panthers cast is like 99% Black and comes with a budget north of 150-200 Million.

Yea I know. my point is that is that Black panther wasn't the first black hero movie. It's just the most popular Black hero getting a movie.

I think it's funny/annoying that the word "diverse" is being so misused in the media. Having an all Black cast does not mean divers. Diverse is...diversity.

I didn't care how diverse the cast was or how much money they've got to spend.

I was excited for a movie based on my beloved franchise.
I was excited that they've got cool actors.
I was excited that they've got good music composer.

The movie wasn't great but fine for what it was.
It didn't deserve the hate or the praise, and it def didn't deserve to be a box office failure in US.
