Everybody ducky until the goose walk in.Damn right.
Nobody. And I mean nobody, has a duck the size of my duck. It’s huuuuuiuge. Some say it is the biggest they have ever seen. Believe me.
Shouldn't this be called Marvel's WHAT THE F***
My enthusiasm slowly begins to wane lolJust watched the first episode
Meh…
I had trouble staying awake.
Any What If comics I ever read the stories had some sort of meaning or consequence of the What If scenario. Nothing really changed here accept Cap no longer has a penis.
About as boring of a What If story they could have come up with IMO.
Hope the rest of the episodes are more interesting.
See this is what the show should have been rather then just just changing the gender of Cap.Since Peggy didn't have a connection with Bucky I assumed that they were potentially setting up Steve to be her version of the Winter Soldier who will be alive in her future 2012. Who knows.
You may be right. Upon reflection I think there was a time women's choices were limited due to economic inequality and lack of opportunity, which may be where that old idea is coming from.I
I agree with most of this. Not sure I agree that women are more likely to overlook physical imperfections though, but there doesn't seem to be any real evidence for this and a whole bunch of anecdotal evidence. The only example I know of is from a study about ten years ago done by an online dating site where women rated 80% of men unattractive, while men rated women more evenly. Obviously this is a limited population, and I haven't actually read the study.
I also get the feeling that most of us are not younger adults and started dating before Tinder etc, so aren't really reflective of how that generation acts and thinks.
Peggy and Steve is definitely possible, and despite what I think of the episode as a whole, I never doubted this aspect - Peggy alwys came across as character over looks/wealth, otherwise she would have been all over Howard.
I don't think these are intended to be one and dones. There might be some one and done episodes but I think these will somehow weave into a larger story. I'm guessing Steve comes back as the Winter Soldier or something similar as it's laid out too nicely to do so.See this is what the show should have been rather then just just changing the gender of Cap.
Some sort of consequence for Steve not becoming Cap… How perfect if that turned him into the WS
How about since Stark Sr made the outfit.. Tony never becomes IM and thus Loki wins in NY
Now I am assuming this is a one and done show. Maybe we will see something like I mentioned if this is a two part story… However if I go by the comics then these shows will be one and done.
Gotta disagree with thatAt the end of the day it’s a cartoon so like every other cartoon it will only matter when elements from it are converted to live action.
I didn’t see any indication that they were setting him up to become the WS but i’m also not willing to discount it either.I don't think these are intended to be one and dones. Well the next two episodes are not dealing with that storyline… Also the fact that Steve survived the train fall kinda ruins that he will become the WSI don't think these are intended to be one and dones. Just got done saying the same.I didn’t see any indication that they were setting him up to become the WS but i’m not willing to discount it either.
They should do a "What if..." a diversity episode had been done in 1976.
Or "What if..." White Panther.
Just to make people crazy...
I watched it again today and still really enjoyed it. I'm fine with this series just seemingly being what it's been marketed as, a full on pocket universe where they just twist some of the existing MCU tropes for the fun of it. I'm guessing this episode wasn't too different than when Jane Foster became Thordis in the 70's.Just watched the first episode
