Yeah cept mine is for the 360 and from Amazon.

The commercial during football last night was bad ass :rock

Righto, just curious if it was only $10 more. If it's only $10, I think I'll get it.

That commercial was nuts, I was telling my brother that it was the only commercial during that break, full 3 minutes :rock:rock:rock:rock

The Best Buy where I reserved my Limited Edition isn't participating in the Midnight Madness launch event tonight. Bastardos. :(

Guess I'll just grab it during lunch tomorrow.

Same! Oh well. I don't think I'd have gone to the midnight launch anyway. If I did, I probably wouldn't even have the stamina to play a game like Mass Effect 2 afterward. And installing it (buying it on pc) takes time.

Same here. My friend obtained a copy in a "questionable" manner and says its roughly 15GB and 2 DVDs for the install. He's also been playing it nonstop since Saturday.

What??? Just remember that Mass Effect 1 does have some framerate issues and some crappy driving aspects to it. Other than that I like the elevator "loading" screens because there's a news station that discusses events that you are accomplishing.

Yeah, I never found the elevator scenes nearly as annoying as a lot of people did. Like you said, they offered some exposition. And I like to absorb as much of the story as possible, especially on BioWare games.

15gb doesn't sound so bad. Dragon Age requires the same amount of space (the back of the box reads '20gb', but it only took 15) and ME1 required only 10.

thanks for the heads up.
my computer is running mass effect 1 so smoth right now with all graphics on full detail. 1900x1200 full AA on.
I run dragon age full detail super smoth so I am having no problems at all.

2 hrs into the game and I am already hooked.
bad ass game.

I'm not sure if anyones posted or seen this already but I thought it was pretty good and funny.
WARNING though, it does contain spoilers for those who haven't played or beaten the first game yet, as it's a recap of the whole story.

wow ! taking a break from mass efffect 1.
14hrs I just could not stop playing this amazing game.
loved the part when you give the speech to the crew of the normandy.
the land rover/tank is the ultimate all terrain vehicle.
I think I like this better then dragon age.

I am so tierd I cant see the keys lol.
continue this epic game tomorrow.

Picked up my collector edition of ME2...very happy with it so far. downloaded both disks to my HDD - 12.4 gigs of game compared to ME 1 7.5 gig or so....

Ok, the download stuff is odd. When you load up the game, it asks for your Cerebus card code - worked no problem. You can then download the first freebie under 'extra content' I believe. Its straightforward.

However, to download the gamestop code, you have to follow the instructions - going to www.masseffect.com, entering code, then waiting two minutes or so AND the file will be available for download via the game. Weird, but it works. Should just be able to enter code via LIVE, but guess that was too easy!! LOL

Inital impressions: action really well done. You can run for more than 2 seconds!!! Very smooth game play....excellent graphics.

Importing your ME1 save...this is the 3rd option under New game...only weird thing: two of my saves came up: one where I saved the council, the other where I let them die....interesting how you get the choice...my ME1 Shep looks almost EXACTLY the same, which is great.

Dialogue option seemed slower at first, but once off the Normady, its great. Love the new characters and voice acting rocks. Playing as Female Shep, so loving my jennifer hale voice work!!!

Downloading and hacks: way, way different. Gone is the 'Simon says' type interaction. Took me a minute to figure these out, but I dig it. Different for sure, but still in the same spirit as ME1

Well, its 4am as I write this; have to be up at 11a (rough, I know), so off to bed!!! Night

Just so you know, installing both discs to the hard drive won't make it so you don't have to swap the discs, you still have to get up and switch them two times.

Yeah, and that's ok. When i downloaded them, it says Mass effect 2 disk 1, and disk 2 as separate files. If it had been one, I would have been 'oh yeah'

I do it for all my games....so I am cool with the disk swap.

Yey, my Collector's Edition shipped from Amazon, I hope their release day shipping actually works.

Mine's in the mail and should be getting here today... but it's not here yet. :banghead Good thing I need to go to work in about an hour so I won't have to wait pathetically by the door anymore. Hopefully, it''l be waiting here when I get home :D

I have my CE. I can't play it until this evening, but I can at least look at all the contents of the package. The case is really nice! The art book and comic book are sweet editions.

The Kerberos card is a nice touch. I'll have to remember to set up a Kerberos account before starting the game campaign.
