I flipped through one at a bookstore recently. If you're planning on getting one solely for the art section, I'd advise against it. The art section was only about 24 pages and only a few of those pages are concept art. The rest are character model renders. Some of it was actually screen shots from the game. Pretty disappointing. I think it came with a poster, but couldn't see the artwork on it.

Aside from that, it also includes a few pages of the Mass Effect Redemption comic book and an interview with the creative director in the back.

Thanks. I think the poster art is the same as one of the posters in the BioWare store. Sucks that the art section isn't that great, but at least I didn't spend any cash on it.

Yeah, it's nowhere as good as the art book that was bundled with the first Mass Effect guide. That one was its own hard covered book.

I really wish Bioware/EA would release a real standalone art book that contains material from ME1 and ME2. I don't think that will happen, but at least we can hope for one once Mass Effect 3 is out and the trilogy is complete.

^^^When/where was it said that this will be a trilogy?? Its great to know that there will be at least one more game, but I kinda hoped the series will live longer than that.

That's just my guess. Bioware has called ME2 their "Empire Strikes Back", so I just took to assume it will be a trilogy.

We've always had a trilogy in mind for the first three games in the Mass Effect franchise. And it is a franchise; it's not going to necessarily stop at number three. We've always had in mind a story arc for this trilogy, the epic sweeping story of going across the universe as Commander Shepherd. Within that context, figuring out the details and the features and how the gameplay unfolds, that's more mutable depending on the feedback we get. So we've always said that the first products will be a trilogy. Beyond that, we'll figure out where it goes.

I wish they would release a book like Valve did with Half Life two. It is amazing.

Wow and I just saw the price $299 for a book?:google Damn Im glad I got this when it originally came out. Still the best game franchise with the best story IMO.

Id like to see one for ME2

I heard over on the ME site forums that Drew Karpyshyn is currently working full-time with the Austin EA/BioWare team for SW: THE OLD REPUBLIC. While that's awesome news for that game, I sure hope it won't prevent him from giving ME3 his full attention. It's the Mac Walters/Karpyshyn writing team that makes the story/characters in these games among the best around, imho.

Oh man I swear I saw these at a book store a few years ago. I should've grabbed one.

But hasn't The Old Republic been in development for a while now? Did he just join the team or has he been with it from the beginning? It'd be interesting to know if he'll be juggling duties for both SW and ME.

Those aren't Amazon's prices. Those are from the third party sellers.

I dont get it then.
So they actually didnt get any in did they?
Theyre only acting as brokers for third parties?
Edit: Never mind, I see how it works now.

I read through the CAG.com thread about this and it seems the members there were keeping a running count of how many were left. They were going pretty fast. A couple hours ago, someone updated stating that there were only 20 left.

Pretty sure Amazon's stock is gone now. The PC version of the LE is still available, though.

I saw there are figures coming out this year.
I have pre-ordered Shepard and the Grunt

Whoa, what? Where? :google

Also, finally saved everyone's lives with my third character.

Tech: Legion
Fire Team 1: Garrus
Fire Team 2: Garrus
Biotic: Samara
Crew Escort: Thane
Final Battle: Zaeed and Legion

Had all three ship upgrades, but very few other upgrades, I can't recall which.

They are only small figures, but they still look good

I'd like a Jack figure as well, though those tats will be hard to pull off at that scale.

But the initial 8 choices make me pretty happy. :rock
