I have always played as a female Shepherd. She's sexy and kicks ass!

As long as you make everyone loyal, only do Legions loyalty Mission after you get the mission to go through the Omega Relay, and pick the right people to do the tasks at the collector station, no one dies, at least the ones you talk to. If you do anything else, like go mining, or possibly visit another planet first, you lose half the crew. If you do anything other than Legions mission before you go through the Relay, Kelly dies. If you pick the wrong people for the Collector station tasks, some of your team will die, guaranteed . To do the infiltration, send Tali or Kasumi. If you send anyone else, someone dies. For the crew escort, send Mordin. To lead strike team, send Miranda or Jacob. Everyone survives om my game.

WHen I had Mirando lead a fire team, I had people die - because I did not have her loyal yet due to her spat with Jack. I ended up picking Tali to escort the survivors, Legion to go in the vents and Garrus to lead my fire teams. Didn't lose anyone that way.

Yeah, there are certain squad members that are the correct choice for each job - Tali or Legion for the vents, Jack or Samara/Mornith for the biotic shield, etc. Once you think about, the specialities of each character should make it pretty easy to figure who should do what. Got it right on my first try :)

Yeah, I've only played as female Shepard. She's the sexiest, most badass, yet caring, character in any game I've ever played. Always a fun time.

I'll probably play through the series as FemShep at some point in the future just to see what it's like. I also want to play through making all renegade decisions eventually too though, so it could be a while before I get around to it.

Thanks, Blue_rouge - might as well not have played - as I prefer going into my anticipated games cold -

Got the new Mass Effect book by William Dietz - always enjoy those before a big release like this one

Yes, I forgot to mention that. If you want everyone to live, then everyone must be loyal. Otherwise, people are going to die. That is why it is so important to get those loyalty missions done before you board the Collector Vessel. I did not know that any Spats between members other than you affected loyalty. Did you do Miranda's loyalty mission involving saving her sister? By the way, do you use Kasumi? She is DLC. When you get her, you get a great submachine gun from her loyalty mission, and it's a great mission. She's definitely worth having. The nice thing about her gun, the Locust, is that it is super accurate, unlike the other two.

Anyone know if/When we get a PS3 demo?

also will his release simultaneously internationally and on both consoles??

Anyone here manage to get the demo early? The MP is online now and seeing if anyone wants to team up.

The 360 - all of the codes were for the Xbox and I have not heard anything on the PS3 demo yet.

As for the MP, once I get used to it and play more, I can definitely see me playing it quite a bit.

Oh, I read that question wrong, sorry. Should be available to everyone a little later today

demo is up on Xbox Live

Just played it: underwhelming -

Why do Husks just plop to the ground when dead, instead of exploding?

I did all the loyalty missions before the Collector mission. So at one time, everyone was loyal. Then Miranda and Jack had their fight and I did not have enough Paragon points to keep Miranda's loyalty (since I sided with Jack). I was around 98% Paragon, so bummed I couldn't keep them all loyal at the end. After the Collector mission I did a few other things and I was able to get her loyal again. I still have 2 DLC's I need to finish - hoping to get to them this week. I had to get a new hard drive for my XBox because I had run out of room. Now I have 250 GB so I'm set! :)

Ok. Mass Effect 2 is one of my favorite games, top 3. I play on PC, though.

I played the demo last saturday thanks to Facebook.

The game visually looks good but there are some things that could be much improved:

-The combat looks just a bit better than previous games, but damn! the animations still look poor and very basic (and not very smooth btw) :(

-You can's unequip your weapons this time.¿¿??. or at least I did'n find how to do it. Shepard & Company look stupid and crappy aiming all the time :(

-Quite a few bugs with the cover system . sometimes fails when you try to change coverage, and sometimes the shots reach you even if you are completely under cover :slap

Was this demo for MP or for campaign?

Both

When I download the demo days ago just the campaign was available.. but now you can play MP and campaign

You can download the demo from the Marketplace now, and probably will be available for PSN tomorrow
