Yeah, I'd say skip the single player part of the demo--plus you'll just have to play through it again in the full game so I wouldn't want to have to do it twice.
And yeah, multiplayer is definitely a thumbs up---but you'll have to get used to using your abilities with the number keys, or if you have a gaming mouse with the numbers on there. Since you can't pause the game to use an ability you have to be really quick.
