Thanks for the info. I was hoping the less than stellar reviews were for the MP - which I don't have much interest in. Bums me out that it's for the campaign too. Hopefully the bugs get worked out soon.

Demo has Wrex, Liara and Garrus back.:yess:
The team supreme will kick all kinds of Reaper ass.

Grunt >>>>>>>>>>> Wrex imo. He's the scientifically perfect Krogan!

I'm just bummed he's not a major player in the game. :(

Liked Grunt but he's a Wrex wanna be. Doesn't have the experience or heart of Wrex or the one liners or the dynamic with Garrus.

It would've been nice to have all the living team members be possible shipmates again.

I will always prefer Wrex to Grunt. Wrex = a seasoned vet - Grunt = a test tube baby. After having played the new demo, its pretty clear that Bioware's mantra is the same: more action, less RPG, find ways to introduce new players and more dumbed down dialogue.

Bioware motto: "your actions have consequences" didnt hold true in ME2 and most likely not in ME3. Not with real substance. One example:

Why was Wrex in a cameo status and they then brought in Wrex 2.0? Namely, Bioware was too ambitious with the moral compass thing and realized they were gonna have ME2 as a 5 disk set if they brought back Wrex as a full character, or Ash, or Kaden etc. So, they wimped out and turned the players that lived or died into cameos

For that reason, and due to the fact that certain ME2 buddies could either live or die, I expect many of those new ME2 characters to be cameos as well. Its just easier to deal with. Import was great for all those cameos, but it lacked real substance

I mean, I am still waiting for any real impact for letting the Rachni Queen live or die two games ago. Sure, we got imported dialogue in part 2 but that was it. There was no true ramification

I get people preferring Wrex over Grunt ...Grunt and Mordin were the two characters that made me laugh the most and for me that was a nice change from the seriousness of everything else going on.

I can also see how difficult it could be making a game where people are importing characters and let certain characters die. I wonder how it will work if you had someone die in 2 and they are a major player in 3?

I'm still hoping that by saving the Rachni Queen they will come to our aid against the Reapers. We shall see ....

If you watched the trailers you can see the Rachni in action.

I have not watched all the trailers ...good to know. I also wonder about theGeth and if our decision will have much impact. I also wonder for those who did not save the Queen if the Rachni will still help them. I hope not or else what is the point of having these dilemmas to face? I spent a long time in deciding the fate of the
Geth and I hope that I see appropriate consequences for my decisions.

The Geth are also shown in the trailers - fighting against them and talking with Legion so I suppose the actions taken might affect whether you fight them or get them as allies. Same with the rachni.

As for the problems with the demo, it's a pretty old demo. I think it might be them same one they were taking to the conventions so I imagine it'll have problems that have probably since been addressed.

As the ME1 characters just being cameos, I think it made sense. Wrex/Ashley/Kaiden all moved on with their lives in the years after Shepard "died". For them just to drop everything and run around the galaxy seems unrealistic. Garrus and Tali did but we found them in different circumstances than the others. If Bioware wanted them in the game, they could have easily replaced one of the other characters and not have them take up any more disc space than the one they replaced.

What's more important than saving the galaxy from Reapers with Shepard?
Given the gravity of the situation I'm sure they'd make time.

I hope the next ME game is on a smaller scale. Would be cool to just be part of the world, then being in basic control of it's destiny.

This trailer is all kinds of epic.

I'm in the middle of ME2 right now; my friend told me not to play the demo since it'll ruin the ending.

So that multiplayer? Super fun?
