I expect a biased review when you get yours...everything is AMAZING to you! Your friends at the Org are the ones who talking about the tear...which adds to the cheapness of the figure, especially if Many of these figures are coming slightly torn.....The worse part is the Sword (I saw new pics at AFI and the sword is warped bad) but its ok,the figure is AMAZING anyways

I checked all the pics from reviewers and couldn't find anything...
there's things that are worth debating and demanding...
a toy certainly isn't... if a flexible hand and a "small tear" get you so worked up, maybe collecting toys isn't for you?... :dunno

And I only read 2 people commenting on this over @ the Org...
seriously... you suck the fun out of this thread!!! :gah:

Anyway... I've been delaying this moment for far too long...
:ignore:

Okay kids. I'm out. I can't deal with this anymore.

so you'll continue to hand Mattel your hard earned money for inferior product (just as I expected)... :clap

the Org has a whole thread on Catra's Arrival/talkback :wave

Ignore? :yess:

I skipped this month, Catra's rubber hand and sword bother me too much to spend $30+ for a single figure.

I already have Stratos, and I'm not buying a She-Ra until v2 comes out.

I received my Weapons Racks and Panthor, both are great. The Weapons Rack is amazing, I think I fit over 40 weapons on one of them. I'll post a pic tonight if I get a chance. The only bad thing is that some of the smaller weapons don't fit snugly, but I found ways so each can't fall out.

it's unfortunate about the warped sword. i've gotten quite a few bent weapons or weapons with stress marks. all caused by the poor way they package these. they kinda overdue it with all the ties and the way everything is sealed into the plastic tray. sometimes i gotta cut the tray just to remove a sword. is that really necessary?

oh come on now you know you love playing with all those twist ties once you get your figure out. lol. I have to admit though They do package them in there good and tight, every month it's a pain to get them out. I'm always afraid of breaking them.

but it's not even twist ties. twist ties i can tolerate. it's those stupid clear rubber bands. exactly what purpose do they serve? after you cut them you still have to wrestle with the figure to free it from the tray.

So today I placed my first Matty order since Keldor was offered last year. I waited through 40 minutes of refresh screens before I finally gave up. I had the sub last year, and only needed to go on for the special figures, and as the year wore on, I was spending all of my disposable income on Hot Toys figures so I eventually stopped dealing with Matty altogether.

Well, now I'm getting back into the MOTU game, and today I was able to order Catra and She-Ra in a total of just over 20 minutes. I got stuck with the refresh page for about 10 minutes for each figure, but from what I've experienced in the past I'd consider that a pretty quick checkout.

Was this a fluke? Is Catra's rubber hand turning off the buyers? Or, did Mattel finally increase production enough to avoid the 4 minute sellouts, and their site is much more capable of handling traffic?

Okay I had to post this because it's absolutely ridiculous. After reading here the vitriol and laments about Mattel's lapses in quality control in regard to the "tear" in the skirt of Catra I went over to He-Man.org. This is something I normally wouldn't do but I had to know what everyone was talking about and in all the pictures I could find I could not see this "tear" everyone is talking about.

SERIOUSLY?

That mark is so small that I would have never noticed it if not for close up large photos and someone pointing it out to me. It also doesn't seem to be damage as it seems to appear in all the figures in the same place. In fact some people at He-Man.org say it was even on the proto-type shown at cons. So it's just a very very minor molding artifact. I've seen much worse on both high-end 1/6 scale figures and even 1/4 scale statue and this is a "very" mass produced toy. Albeit less so than what Mattel normally puts out, but still way more than what say… a run of statues from Sideshow and more importantly made the same way as those highly mass produced toys like Barbie and GI Joe.

The rubber hand and super soft weapons is still FAIL! If there is a legitiment "tear" on the skirt..over time, posing the figure could create a bigger tear...this does not bother me compared to the soft hand and mattel's lies calling it a "safety measure" (see Stratos,Beast Man,Mer-man etc all have Claw hard plastic hands)

an Org'er review-

Great looking figure.

Right off the bat, the sword is soft, but only slightly softer than Adora and She-Ra's original swords. Luckily mine didn't come warped in the package and looks pretty standard.

The "squishy hand" is noticeably soft. It is a little annoying because it nearly comes off anytime you have to turn the wrist or clip on the shield. The closed hand is softer plastic as well, not like the "squishy" hand, but just too rubbery. I'd prefer the regular hard plastic.

Red mask stays on nicely. The silver one I don't think even looks good. Shield is really nice. The whip isn't bad either, not perfect, but not bad.

No kidding right!! :lol:lol:lol
Usually this thread is fairly balanced, and not as much whining goes on as other threads around here, but "He-who-shall-not-be-named" likes to stir the pot around these parts unfortunately...
but now, I "see no evil" anymore!

If it was a legitimate tear it would not be in the same place on all figures. If you're worried about that "tearing" more than you should also be worried about the v-shaped scalloping along the bottom of the skirt which are just as likely if not more likely to tear.

Just got Catra,
Great figure!
Soft hand doesn't bother me that much, there's no "tear" at all in mine, no clue what was that about... there's not even any mold residue... the only thing is the soft sword...
Other than that, great looking figure!!

If the sword is bent up at all, and you actually care about it, toss it in a cup of hot water and that should sort you out.
