Ram Man? Matty is such a cocktease. :lol

I have heard the rumors and I don't doubt it but I still won't be at peace until we get an official announcement. I can live without a lot of characters but Rammy is a must.

I like it,
I see nothing wrong with it...
Can it be better? Well yeah of course...
But I think it's a great representation of the characters... the weakest is He-Man, my favorite is Skeletor...

Anyway,
here are a few quick and dirty pics of my Wind Raider,
I'll take better ones later today...

If Mattel wants MOTU to be in the video game camp and be constantly compared to Street Fighter then it succeeds with this art work.

If they wanted unique branding, then I think they failed miserably!
There is nothing at all distinctive about the look or feel of these illustrations as nicely rendered as they are.
This is a complete mismatch. Especially given the excuse for not going with guys like Emiliano Santalucia or Nathan Baertch was because he was too 200x.

Very cool Wind Raider there Kuzeh!

I am referring to the style of Illustration!

I wasn't aware we were getting Street Fighter classics!

I agree completely, this art has a very 200x feel to it's style.
It's really a bizarre choice3 for everything they want classics to be.

Still, I like it.

Would have preferred they went with Emiliano Santalucia's work over those pics.

Not on the toy styled art work neccessarly, though I think he would've done a good job but definitely on the Filmation styled stuff.
Though truth be told, I would've loved to do the painted Filmation styled stuff.

But I just feel that the Classics art reminds me too much of Street Fighter and given all the stupidity over any 200x styled (ie anime), this was quite a shock.

I would've loved to see Cary Nord, Eric Powel, Ed Mcguinness, Raymond Swanland and a tonne of other more beefy like artists on this besides the very distinctive Street Fighter styled art of Alvin Lee, as good as he is.

I like the new art. It's got an anime-light flavoring but it doesn't recall 200X to me. When I think of 200X I think of over-designed armor. Not to say I wouldn't prefer something more "classic" but I think that's the point - they know they already have guys like me on board.

Nice pics, Craw.
