We'll still get a Castle Greyskull with the numbers they have, but they'll jack the price up to $300 to make it happen. It's probably what they've had planned all along.

the pre-order price is set, so if they wanted to increase the price they would have to cancel all the pre-orders...

Well, it looks like the Grayskull thermometer is at around 75% so far. Unfortunately, we probably won't hit the pre-order total.

Matty has never NOT made the item the thermometer has threatened, ever. They'd make it even if the total was 10%. Its just all a marketing gimmick no matter what Scott tells you.

Matty just assumed Ghostbusters was popular enough to continue the sub. Same with getting enough orders for YJ. But for some reason thinks their one line that was actually big enough to be sold at retail stores needed the first thermometer


Frankly I'm glad to see MotUC on the line for orders for once rather than DCUC

Keep in mind that the Grayskull meter has not been updated since Friday so we may not see any changes until later today or tomorrow morning. I would guess there's going to be a decent increase with people waiting until the last minute to order but I don't know if it will cover the 20-25% remaining. If it's close I would expect Mattel to move forward knowing that pre-orders will be open for another 6-7 weeks.

Yeah, sorry Buttmunch as Zodach pointed out you're wrong on that account. I'd like to think that we're close enough that'll it go through if it's not actually already over and they just haven't updated. But the message should be that if someone is actually planning on getting this thing anyway, don't just assume it'll go through. Order it now.

I think we'll still get one, but if I’m wrong I will probably never have a MOTUC Castle Greyskull in any form at all then. It's too risky and expensive to buy any mockups from anyone on here even though I was willing to fork out the $250 plus for Matty's.

I still haven't heard of anyone getting their custom Castles from one member that was putting up some really great pictures of a very detail, extra featured version, and if Matty could have given us a re-make of the Vintage Castle for $250 plus with new extras, paying anyone else that much for just a plain to no thrills facade would just be too high.

I am just glad I didn't dropped $400 on that custom Castle that the knucklehead on here was selling a year or two back and then took forever to make it (and it still hasn't been made)took people's money and sat on it.....the Castle we are getting from Mattel is going to be 10 times better!
