I too post only occasionally, I'm surprised how they allow all these brats to post their nonsensical whining up and down but if someone calls them out, we're being intolerant... :slap

How long is the ban for? Did you reply back to a mod?

Jitsu's Bio and packaging...

Jitsu is one of my all time favorite MOTU figures, I still have the Vintage one, I'll reserve judgement til I have it in hand, but for some reason the headsculpt looks a bit odd here...

Thanks lads. I am still getting the Mattel one but I will always love this too.

Here are the painting instructions.

Now, I stress that I have never done anything like this before and you saw the results. So this is indeed dead easy.

Trust me, grab a bottle of beer and enjoy it. I got mine entirely done in a Sunday afternoon.

Firstly you need to learn dry brush technique:
[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F1posZyE74[/ame]
(you don’t really need to have the same brushes as this guy. Any brush will do given the texture of the castle.

Castle Step 1:
Get a dark matt green spray can and paint the the whole thing. ( I went for a very dark green but it if you want a brighter green, go for it).

Castle Step 2:
Get some Citadel minatures paints. These are what both Zombihamma and I used and they are perfect for this sorta thing. If you want me to get you the paints here, I can but you may be able to order them.
The Citadel paint colours you need are – (for castle and inner door) Knarloc Green, Goblin Green, Bleached Bone, Goblin Green.

Castle Step 3:
Once your base sprayed colour is dried, start to dry brush with the Knarloc Green, then go in with a Goblin Green drybrush and just go as you like it. Then go in with a mixture of Bleached Bone and Goblin Green drybrush. I looked at Zombihamma’s photos when doing this so that was my guide.

Apply this to the inner teeth part of the door.

The door front step 1:
Scorched Brown, Calthan Brown, Metal Boltgun and some matt black spray paint.

Spray the the while door front in black. Go in with a Scroched Brown dry brush and Calthan.
(go light on the browns at the door bottom and where the bar is as it gives it that damp and used look).

For the bar and the crest, just get your Metal Boltgun and dry brush that on to lift it out but go light so that some brown is coming through to give it that rusty effect.

Drying brushing is great as you build up to the colour as you see fit. :)

Very cool! Honestly, if the paint on Mattel's castle doesn't turn out well (which I hope it will) I'll probably try this out.

Anyone know where to get a motuc sorceress. Not a huge fan of ebay. Any stores have her in stock?
Jim

Looks like $60-$75 is the lower tier of what she's going for now! I figured she'd go up but I didn't think she'd go up that much. Makes me wonder what Ram Man is going to be like next year.

I'm a fairly new MOTUC collector and was so glad I got to take advantage of the cyber Monday sale on Matty Collector. I picked up a lot for cheap in just one day, but I was curious do they have any other sales like this or is post Thanksgiving the only one?

I managed to get a lot, but couldn't afford everything I wanted, and missed out on the quick sales like Queen Marlena/Captain Glenn due to being at work. I'm ready to try the secondary market, but if they have these sales often I don't mind waiting.

That sale saved my MOTU bacon like whoa.
They have a couple of sales every year, so I understand, but certain figures just never come back. Expect Sorceress to be one of those.
