I don't think anyone on this forum cares about POP. I really wish Mattel had given POP a separate sub from the start.

oh there is a few on here that do...

and I agree,a seperate Sub would of been nice, but it would of never sold enough Subs for it to happen.....POP wouldn't even have figures if it wasn't for MOTU Vintage

These claims that POP sold better than some Vintage MOTU figures is asinine...especially when we don't have actual production numbers and then we are forced to buy everything in the Subs which does not indicate true sellout times...plus Toyguru said that some figures get a higher production numbers than other figures (example-Sorceress, etc)

I bet that POP gets minimum production run just to meet the sub numbers and then has very few extra on day of sale....

Disagree, I'm certain that shera outsold SOME motuc vintage characters. and as she is THE PoP, it makes that statement true. and Bow has a Weird cult following on a few other boards.

The rest, not so much.

without actual production numbers, nobody really knows!

BUT Scott did say some figures have a bigger production run based on popularity

hence SHE-RA had a bigger Run and is still easy to get ;)...while Sorceress did too and she is Sold out/done/out of print

plus, sell out times do not mean crap when figures are blantantly pulled to make it look like there is huge demand....Bow was probably made to numbers of the Subs and then a few additional more which is why he probably went fast (though appeared AGAIN in the Matty's selloff sale)....a bunch grown men buying a girls line they didn't collect as kids, making it sell out fast? highly doubtful

But that's all a lot of presumption. As you said, none of us know the production numbers, so none of us really know.

And who cares, really? They are selling enough to keep making them.

I donno. it's nice to have some females in the line.

I don't mind having females. However, the only ones I care to have are from the vintage He-Man toy line and Filmation He-Man cartoon. I would definitely buy Shokoti.

I believe there are enough POP fans out there to maybe have gotten through 1 or 2 subscriptions, but not much after that. MOTU is just far more popular. If there were separate subs from the start, then all the loud POP fans would really see just how scarce their fan base really is.

those 4 figures are now in the RARE category....along with Fisto and Shadow Weaver

Teela,Sorceress and Fisto are 100% history and the only way your getting those are on the secondary market (which the demand for those are getting higher prices)

Beastman and Tri-klops are not as rare, but they are harder to get now

Scareglow is going up in price with most ebay listings ending over $50. I think a lot of the figures that didn't get reissues are going to become pretty valuable long-term considering the low production runs. It's not like MOTU fans will have a new line to move on to after Classics so these figures will continue to be in demand.

yeah,I forgot about Scareglow....he is another RARE one

In my opinion,MOTU Classics will be done or will wrap up by/within 2013-2015 making way for the Masters of the Universe Movie toy line that will hit retail...the focus will be totally on the movie then, but the Classics will continue to be in Demand pushing up prices for some (especially vintage, like it has already been happening) I mean, look at Fisto! $$$
