It's no surprise, really. Mattel has promised to have all of the vintage figures released by end of 2015 and I've always felt that without vintage there would be no more line. I just don't think there are enough people out there interested in obscure and/or new original characters to carry the line alone. Looks like Mattel thinks the same.

the rest of 2014....Tung Lashor,Spinnerella,Gwildor,Granita,Mermista,Enarrow

for '15 probably Dylamug,Ninjor,Angella,Multibot,Lodar

That's as likely as anything else I can imagine.

Isn't there supposed to be some sort of surprise figure that's supposed to get released around the end of 2014 which isn't in the sub?

nope...there is the $35 Holiday figure which I declare is Mermista

Kind of sad... Two of the toy lines I collect - Sideshow GI Joe and MOTUC - are coming to an end. :(

But what can you do? Save money I guess... thankfully there's still Masterpiece Transformers, but they are slowww...

I am actually looking forward to the end in some ways. I hope it is literally not the end but instead a rebranding. I am tired of these vintage figures and really hope to get the new characters created from the new mini-comics and SOH era. Not sure if those would sell enough to sustain a line but we shall see.

Some Extendar shots taken a couple of days ago. Decent figure, although he seem to be made up of a softer/gummier plastic. Maybe to allow for easier exchange of parts?

Is there official word on this? I mean, the writing is on the wall... Personally, I think I'll take my leave if this becomes the Son of He-Man. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out, and if there's a series as well I'll give it a shot, but I doubt the characters will interest me enough to expand my already substantial MOTUC collection.

Plus, from what I've seen and read thus far, it reads more like Toy Guru's personal fan fiction than anything I would like to see happen in the MOTU continuity...

technically it means "MOTU CLASSICS" will be done after 2015 (IF we get a full 2015)...which in turn,2016 may have MOTU,but it won't be called Classics anymore, but likely a NEW line bringing in the "Son of He-Man" and Skeleteen junk

2016 just won't be called MOTU Classics anymore....of course 2016 depends on IF 2015 goes through

Agreed. SOH and Toy Guru's bios are pretty awful.
