I would buy this if it wasn't a bazillion dollars. The only thing I REALLY want at this point is Mantisaur for Hordak.

Some pics of a project I'm working on. 99% complete, still doing some last minute tweaks.

Like the manhole I sold, I like to provide multiple display options.

I have a brand new two sided manhole designed specifically for the tower. The "top" side has a rocky dome shape with small holes that you can plug the brown perch section of the original Point Dread playset, in order to attach the Talon Fighter. The "bottom" has a hole where you can plug in the laser turret from the other side of the castle, for some shooting action. The new manhole will also fit into the hole on the main floor if you want to use the turret inside the castle.

Below is an early "test shot" version, it has the wrong color and no paint, but shows some of the display options.

Interesting answer on Castle Grayskull's...sounds like many fans pre-ordered and then bailed though it helped getting the Castle made,but of course Snake Mountain will never happen

I bailed on my pre-order. They gave us a cancel window if we were not happy and I wasn't happy with all the changes they made in comparison to what they included, and so i did. No regrets about it.

That looks really good!

With all this talk of cheap Grayskulls, maybe I'll end up buying one... if I do, I would definitely look at this as an option. I am actually finding the Wind Raider to be a difficult piece to display, and this looks great.

I dunno, it kind of works, though. Almost like forced perspective (if you're looking kind of down at it).

The figures make it look small, imo.

It doesn't sound like their issue is with people who cancelled during their cancellation window, it sounds like they are not happy with all of the people that bailed once it was released and never updated their CC info.

One of my main issues with Greyskull aside from the scale issue is how they solved the "now that we shrunk the thing by 4" the gate no longer is big enough". That big unsculpted cutout where the gate lays down into is unsightly as hell. It looks really out of place and imo makes the castle only displayable with the door down.

I pretty much love Grayskull, but I do wonder why they didn't add more texture here or try to make it blend in better.

I can say with confidence that those who bailed or didn't bother with Castle Grayskull are seriously missing out. It's unlikely anyone anywhere will ever make something this big again. It's the last great playset and the first of it's kind in about 15 years. If there's a bigger playset out here, please point it out.

It's just flippen great and as some may or may not know, I was very annoyed with some of the changes and called Mattel to task on it but that all went away once I had it in my home.

As for the room argument, it's folds up neatly and is quite compact. If you can afford it, get one as it's just cool a fook!

Oh and that Point Dread looks great Badvermin!

other then Granamyr the Castle is the best part of this whole line!
