Thanks for the advice KingGrayskull and JonWes. Up till now I've just had everything in detolfs, might try to be a bit more adventurous.

The Detolf's are nice because they do keep some dust out. I had mine in there for a while. But collectively it was just taking up so much room, and Grayskull looked OKAY on the Detolf, I just wanted it a bit lower. :)

I can say with confidence that those who bailed or didn't bother with Castle Grayskull are seriously missing out. It's unlikely anyone anywhere will ever make something this big again. It's the last great playset and the first of it's kind in about 15 years. If there's a bigger playset out here, please point it out.

It's just flippen great and as some may or may not know, I was very annoyed with some of the changes and called Mattel to task on it but that all went away once I had it in my home.

As for the room argument, it's folds up neatly and is quite compact. If you can afford it, get one as it's just cool a fook! :)

Oh and that Point Dread looks great Badvermin!

Yeah, well, if I can get it at the preorder price (and shipped to my father in law in Kentucky vice having to pay customs and ridiculously overcharged shipping to Canada), I can see myself biting. Room still might be an issue, but...

And it looks awesome in a display, even flat.

I really like how you've set things up, Jon. I might have to do something similar, though most of my collection consists of smaller figures (GI Joes and the like), so Detolfs aren't quite as useful for me... They're just about perfect for 12" stuff, though. I like the couch in the middle, so you can just relax and take it all in! :)

LOL.

The couch is also a sleeper, since this is also our guest bedroom. :D I have a fair amount of smaller figures, but they are on the sections of the room you can't see:

Are these bigger than detolfs then? Just wondering what you get these over detolfs.

The idea is to put 3-4 of these over each other. In that case they will definitly have enough space for the MotuC collection. I had my Classics in 3 or 4 Detolfs and it just did not look right for me. The levels are just too high.
Personally I think Detolf works best for 1/6 scale. I am currently working on a double Detolf mod. I really want to display my Ghostrider bike and Batpod in my Detolfs. :lol
At the moment I have nothing to show but when the collection room build up is gettng started, I will post some documentations. Right nor I am working at the former dining room. The wife has declared it to become our home cinema. God I love this girl! :rock

This is how a Motu collection has to be displayed in my eyes. These look best in "army builder pose". Nice guest room, btw. Buy some beer, I will come over and have a night there. :lol

LOL - well to each their own, but it's one of my favorite collections! :D

Thanks! I like then "facing off" against each other. On the top, they are a little more posed. But towards the bottom the poses get a bit more vanilla. it's one of the trade-offs about MOTUC. They look great and have great articulation, but overall I think they are tricky to get into to many extreme battle poses as a group. Not only does it take up a lot of room, they don't all hold the poses well. I can see a day when MOTU migrates over to where my 3 3/4''/NECA figures are now. There's just a bit more room there. I guess it depends on how much farther it goes than 2015. I have enough space to get through 2014, I THINK, right now. :D

Read over on a news site Toyguru declaring Snake Mountain not going to happen. Usual reasons ... blaming fans ... And I'm ok with that. I'm hoping a strong group of customizers can come forward and offer their own project for sale ... Point Dread was a good example of this but don't stop there! We've seen the third party market explode for Transformers toys that Hasbro was never going to make ... We need some of those guys building for Eternia! I'd be quite happy to pay and enjoy Toyguru being outclassed ... Not that that takes much to do ...

I'm okay with Snake Mountain not being made, because I'd rather not be tempted by it. Honestly, Grayskull was the only playset I REALLY needed. As you said, a third party facade for Snake Mountain would probably be enough for me, anyway, if I ever needed it in my collection.

If they are indeed done with anymore playsets, I hope we can see any premlimanary artwork from the 4Horsemen that might have been done ... sketches, etc.

I really would love to know how they would have approached Snake Mountain as a playset versus their input into the statue ...

Got Extendar, I like him more than I thought I would! Also got Stratos and Scareglow minis! They are awesome!!!

They look great!! I have them set up with my Icons castle too and can't wait for snake mountain...It'll make a really nice display. I love the new scareglow mini, one of my favorites so far..

So Matty is saying 2015 is the last year.....I think this year and early figures for 2015 will be it....I don't see '15 Sub going through unless Mattel pushes it through themselves. There is ALOT of people done with subbing
