I guess the budget wasn't there for Snake Mountain. It's fun advert and the costumes are actually pretty decent but I just wish folks would stop it with the hair on He-Man as it just kills all the cool in the character.

Is anyone here purchasing the Power-Con exclusives? I am very excited for the mini comics 3-pack, but I don't know if I will be getting the concept 3-pack. Those are very bizarre characters that I have no connection to whatsoever and I can't see myself ponying up roughly $40 each for them.

After everything last years exclusives cost me far too much despite having a guy to get em for me. I'm not sure this years lot are worth it. If that Alacala Adam had the right vest then I would be maybe more tempted. As of right now, I may not bother.

If anyone was wondering where matty collectors extra stock went after they closed, gamestop.com has a little of all the lines, including filmation he-man and thundercats. Now they're at a mark up from what matty charged, but way better than ebay if you hurry.

I'm waiting for that myself. I didn't have the cash at the time it was up on Matty. They've got to emerge SOMEWHERE.

I have not decided about the Power con exclusives yet or the Super7 figures of that matter. It is the last 6 inch line of figures I am still considering since moving to only 1/6. Just not crazy about having to go all in with figures already announced I don't want.

Also fwiw, someone on IG is claiming to have found a He-Man in store. I did check online and nothing came up near me, but it may be worth popping in if you have one near by.

Well the last lot of PowerCon exclusives are still readily available from BBTS a year later so I cannot image these new ones will be any different. If my guy cannot get them directly, then I will wait. Someone is having a laugh with those prices.

I believe they had in the neighborhood of 4-5,000 units left according to the "cart trick" that was mentioned over at He-man.org. Who knows if that number was accurate but I bet it wasn't too far off. They have to be liquidating that stock somewhere as it would make no sense to just destroy it or salvage it with the amount of money they spent on tooling and production for that set.

I ended up ordering both 3-packs through a friend that's going to PowerCon. I wasn't sure about the cardback trio, but the new paint additions really sold them for me. I like the nutty mash-ups, to be honest. The mini-comic three-pack was a given.

Hey all, slightly OT request, but I think this is probably the best place to ask... I was a massive MOTU fan back in the day (although 2000X passed me by as I had no idea it even existed!) - I keep wanting to revisit the universe, both real and fictional, so I was wondering, is there a decent in depth book out there?, one that covers both the history of the toys and also some character background as well, or has such a definitive tome yet to be written? I've seen the big coffee table art book around, but it's always shrink wrapped so I have no idea what it's like inside! I'm after more of a history book than a glossy art one... I like a good amount of text to plough through! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You should buy the books by Dark Horse. There is an artbook, character guide, filmation guide, minicomic collection and a newspaperstrip collection. Alltogether make a perfect picture of MOTU and its different incarnations.
