Totally agree. There was so much variety and the figures were fun and creative. These days the figures are cheap crap and it's just the high end figures geared towards an older crowd that sells and looks good now. The 80's had pure originality and fresh, new ideas.

I agree that 80's were some great times for toys. The sheer variety was just mind blowing, but I don't think today's toys are cheap crap. IMHO some are even better than what we had in the 80's. DCUC, GI-Joe, transformer animated. Compare them to what was done in the 80s' and I think they are way better done today.

I agree. While the 80's had a far better variety of boy geared properties
The action figure sculpting of today by far exceeds those from the 80's.
I would love for practically every boy property from the 80's get a revamp
of todays toy designs and sculpting.

Stratos arrived today. Another kick ass figure and the line just keeps getting stronger.

yah, it will be cool to see this line 7-8 figures from now. i can't really think of any line i have collected where every figure was a hit but looking at what mattel is doing so far this might be the exception. there is a chance that every figure could be this well done and look this nice. how awesome is that going to be if it holds true?

I bet your room looked like this!

I still have those sheets! :joy

Oh ,man, I used to have those sheets. Wild.

Is there any interest in a vintage Modulok here? I've got one loose, and I really don't want to throw it in the giveaway bin....

Well, I bit the bulllet and bought a Stratos on Ebay. Got it for $30, which was better than most people were selling it for. I'm definitely placing my order the first day no matter what from now on.

Modulok
Figure #24 was one of my favs, he came with so many additional pieces that you could mix and match and I believe that you could recreate is body in so many different ways.

This was the playset that I never got, never had Eternia. :monkey2

I bet the Medicom stands would work well for Stratos :lecture

I'm moving now, but if no one else does it first I'll give it a try and post pictures.

Haven't received my Stratos yet but I finally got around to opening a couple of these guys and decided to give the Medi stands a try -

You had the same idea I did. I put Stratos on a Medi stand to make him look like he's in the air flying.

Where do you get those stands? Those would be great for flying characters such as Stratos, Buzz Off, Sorceress, etc.

Unfortunately I don't think you can get them separately, they only come with medi figures. I've read a few guys on here saying they don't use their medi stands...maybe you could start a WTB thread.

They do sell the stands separately.

You can find similar ones on ebay for $4 ($7 w/shipping). I would suspect there has to be online stores that carries them as well.

BTW, that isn't my auction.

Awesome! I didn't know medi stands were available like that. There are a lot of cool stands out there if you search around a bit.
Thanks for the compliments on the pic, guys! I thought I'd share another since Skeletor's furniture arrived today. I couldn't resist when I saw the pics earlier in this thread.
Let's face it, trying to take over Eternia is a tough job. Sometimes you need to just kick back and dream of a world without He-Man........
