yeah its crazy. i already got forager, power girl, and joker. i will pick up the others once the prices calm down a little. i just need to get the build a figure piece from forager cause i got him loose.

I am happy for you man .... I don't know if I would EVER get my hands on batman, joker and manbat.. not to mention the whole wave. .

how's your wedding coming along btw ?

wow, whats with the scalpers charging 25 bucks a figure? better just to go to walmart and look? how long as this wave been out?

I think he was referring to the black Batman that I listed. But surely, that will be on the lower end of the figures released, price-wise. He's the 4th re-paint using that mold, I believe.

Regarding Joker, though, I'm sure we'll get a repaint or two of him down the road, so I'm guessing (hoping) that he'll show up a little cheaper than what he's going for right now.

I'd bet on seeing a Trenchcoat and hat Joker at least. Not really sure how you could repaint Joker without getting into the stupid color schemes Mattel is famous for in their kids lines.

Yeah, I can see what you are saying, but given that he is the most popular DC villain, I'm guessing they would find a way, even if it is nothing more than more muted color scheme.

Most of my current collection is of the JLA. Picked up Superman recently, so I've got just about all the JLA characters I care to have (Black Canary isn't essential to me for whatever reason):

I'm actually considering selling these and cutting my losses while the line is hot for some other things. . .but I probably won't. Damn are they sweet.

I was so close to getting wave 10. I've been checking my most reliable Wal-Mart in the area for the entire week, but I was so exhausted from my late night trips, that I fell asleep last night and didn't go.

Tonight the toy guy said he had the the wave with Beast Boy and Joker yesterday but they was no sign of them tonight. FML. He said he'd ask the manager to place another order for more. Hopefully, I can get them next time.

I need to find that joker. Where I live in New Jersey is pretty much a hole when trying to find cool figures. The only choice I have is to buy it overpriced at a comic shop.

That really, really sucks. But it does prove my rule. They day you don't go is the day they finally get them. I didn't go this last Sunday and a Wal-mart 25ish miles from me got them in. Now, I would never have gone to that wal-mart, but now I'll never know if the ones in my area got them too and if they were just picked clean before I got there. :(

That's the exact same display I have, minus Aquaman and plus Hawkgirl, Marvel, and Black Canary. If ya do sell them... I could use Aquaman...:D

And they are, indeed, sweet. I have a whole box of Marvel Legends (the Toy Biz ones, I stopped collecting when Hasbro took over) and I never enjoyed those as much as I do these. But then again, I'm a hardcore DC guy.

And BTW, I have that Martian Manhunter somewhere... maybe I can use that as a stand-in until Mattel makes theirs...

I think he works nicely, since being slightly bigger, he is roughly in scale, and he has a fantastic sculpt. Obviously, the articulation and style are the biggest differences.

I've also got a bunch of Marvel Legends guys, and some of those are great, but on the whole, I think I dig the DCUC line better, as well.

Brown Wolverine and Face-Off Hulk and Cap rival anything Mattel has made so far, though

I don't think I've seen those, but it's all different strokes. I like DCUC more than ML because, in spite of the heavy re-use in parts, it adds a consistency to the sculpts and design that ML doesn't have, in addition to the 'marionette-ish' look some of the MLs have because of too much articulation in some cases that also had them constantly taking a tumble from my shelf. I like that most DCUC figs have just enough articulation to pose but still be stable enough to stay standing. If an action figure can't stand on its own, then my opinion of it goes down quite a bit (which is why I stayed far, far away from the JLU figures despite my love for the show).

That does seem to always happen. :monkey2

Walmart's ordering process is too blame also. When a store wants to order a case of DCUC, the store sends their order to the warehouse and them the warehouse orders it from Mattel. Then it takes 2 to 3 weeks for the case to arrive at the store. That's insane! :duh Why doesn't Wallmart just keep stock on hand in their warehouse? I worked retail for years and this process makes no sense to me. Department heads have to order 2 weeks in advance and guess sales for those two weeks? Also, when Walmart orders a case they can't pick which Wave to order. Whatever Mattel sends to the warehouse is what the store receives.

I went to 8 Walmarts within a 45 mile radius and found nothing. I did though talk to 4 Toy Heads/Mgrs and each explained to me the ordering process for the figures. Walmart is aware that the wave is an exclusive but there isn't nothing they can do about it. They just order a case and hope for the best. One manager did take down my info and ordered 2 cases for me. If Wave 10 does come in he said he'd hold the 2 cases for me. The problem: I have to wait 2 to 3 weeks. :banghead

I've been able to pick up some Wave 9 lately. It's started to sporadically appear in my local targets and I was able to pick up the Gotham City 5 pack at one of the Wal-Marts in my area. Here's some pics of who I have so far, I still have Deadshot in his box though. I need both Chemo's legs to complete him.

I'm quite jealous

I thought I'd canceled all of my DCUC orders. Wrong. Series 9 showed up this week. I opened the box to make sure everything was in order for a re-sell on eBay or something, but I ended up opening all the figures.

Now I'm hooked again. Le sigh.

Guardian is lame, they should have gone with the modern design, but he's my only real complaint.

Also, one of my Chemo torsos wouldn't accept the lower torso bit. I don't know if that's a widespread problem, but it's something to be on the lookout for. The peg popped into the second Chemo just fine, however.
