I thought I'd canceled all of my DCUC orders. Wrong. Series 9 showed up this week. I opened the box to make sure everything was in order for a re-sell on eBay or something, but I ended up opening all the figures.

Now I'm hooked again. Le sigh.

Guardian is lame, they should have gone with the modern design, but he's my only real complaint.

Also, one of my Chemo torsos wouldn't accept the lower torso bit. I don't know if that's a widespread problem, but it's something to be on the lookout for. The peg popped into the second Chemo just fine, however.

These figs sure are hard to avoid collecting. I find myself wanting to collect more than a couple in each Wave too. Plus I'm happy with so many of the collect and connect figures.

I think I have almost everything released under DCUC and most of what came out as DC Superheroes. The Walmart exclusive lines and the price hike both caused me to become disillusioned and give up on DCUC.

For what amounted to about a month and a half. When I opened series 9, I also went straight and pre-ordered 11 and 12.

I haven't preordered since Wave 8. I'm not happy with the price hike either. Getting a complete Wave for less than $100 seemed manageable, but now they are well over $120 or more.

Found this guy yesterday and I couldn't be happier with him. Even more anxious for Negative Man and the rest of the Doom Patrol now! :rock

I literally only saw two Caucasian Firestorms in the store, and I'm glad I bought him the 2nd time around, because never again.

I live in hoarder/scalper heaven around here, like most others.

i found mine in Times sq. TrU and they had about 20 of them then. Went back the next day to pick uo some for members, and the entire dc universe was out of stock. I too live in scalper heaven.

Yep, Captain Cold, Dr. Impossible, Firestorm, Mr. Miracle, Booster Gold, Camo Aquaman, and Blue Beetle. Those "best of" cases that everyone got really are the "worse case scenerio" since they aren't selling and therefore Wally World isn't stocking with their exclusive wave :banghead

My local Walmart has had the same 6 figures for the last month.

Mattel though is to blame also. The reason Walmart has so much stock of wave 7 is cause that's practically the only thing that Mattel is shipping at the moment. I believe that Mattel screwed up and got stuck with tons of this wave. Since then they have cut down the production numbers on the newer waves which is one reason why wave 9 orders couldn't be fulfilled.

By the way, has anybody else heard about the new World's Greatest Superheroes and World's Worst Villains internet cases for next year?

I think the problem was actually KB going out of business. Their orders had to go somewhere so I think everyone got stuck with their products that Mattel made into the "best of" cases. Brilliant Mattel. Absolutely brilliant. Overproduce figures everyone already has, and underproduce new figures everyone needs.

i am sure that KB going out of business didnt help any toy line at all. I had 2 near me and they were always a good place to stop in for some odd figures at cheap prices.

You were lucky. I had 2 by me and they all sucked.

You could never find ANYTHING good there. If there was a KB exclusive, forget it! I still think to this day that the Mgr at one of the stores kept all the exclusives and sold them on ebay. I didn't see a single exclusive for years.

to be fair, one of the kb's in my area was terrible for years, but in about 2006 they stepped up big.

I'm treking out to a walmart tomorrow in search for the five pack and joker. The one near me does not even carry the DCUC line as far as I can tell. Besides that my other choice is TRU which is also a dead end for the most part. wish me luck.

If this doesn't work I'll have to stoop to overpriced comic book stores or ebay.
