I finally found an entire case of wave 10 on the pegs Wednesday night. I got my set, but am still looking around for Man-Bat, Robotman, and Beastboy for another board member.

It was pretty crazy. The Wal-Mart that I normally find all my good stuff placed an order for two cases and I'd been checking there almost every day for the past two weeks. I took a couple days off from going there and just called, but the competent guy in the toy department wasn't there so no one knew what I was talking about. When I went there on Wednesday, the guy told me that the cases were no longer on order so they must have come and gone. I was bummed, but I decided to go to another 24 hour Wal-Mart a few miles down the road that I've never found anything at just for the heck of it and not really expecting to find them. However, there they were in all their glory. It was really exhilarating.

Congrats, Boba. I can't find the time to search Wal-Marts very often anymore (I can only justify running errands once a week nowadays), so I'm SOL unless the eBay prices start going down.

I've never seen the 5 pack at any of my Wal-Marts, however.

Leadercobra lives in a land of excess figures. I hope he realizes how lucky he is.

I can't imagine finding all of them on a peg, thats right time and place right there, ben.

I just want Power Girl. So I can add her to my Superman collection. I checked Wal Mart last nite but no luck.

Man, this series really is my new plastic crack. I keep picking up figures I swore I wouldn't. I grabbed a human Mantis and a clearanced Cyborg last night in my feeble hunt for wave 10, and I must say, I don't regret it. Both are awesome figures. If this keeps up I'll need a shelf just for Fourth World characters. :D

Well, the hunt continues today...

VICTORY!!!

The last Wal-mart I check in the area and there was a fresh case of wave 10 on the pegs. I began laughing with maniacal glee as I grabbed my stack (Black Bats, Joker for my gal, Joker for me, Forager, Robotman, PG, Man-Bat) and double-timed it to the check out, garnering a strange double-take from a passing employee.

FINALLY.

The hunt is over. I'm a happy dork today. This was a nice way to end my week at home with bronchitis and the flu, that's for sure.

Cheers!

CONGRATULATIONS
Bro,
I am looking for robotman, man bat, and beast boy still if you find any. i will gladly pay you for them. LMK.. i also need the baf piece from forager.

I'd pick up a Joker if I found him, but the next figure I'd buy without question is Blue Devil.

Of course, I'll NEVER see him so there's no pressure.

Quick thoughts now that I've had time to play:

Robotman: Nice color & new parts. The bad? Loose left ankle (which doesn't really keep him from standing, surprisingly) and the skull cap is just a tad warped, leaving a TINY gap at the front of his head. I didn't even want him til my dad let me read his new Morrison Doom Patrol trades, and I'm glad I didn't pass him up.

Power Girl: After returning her to her Kryptonian origins and making her JSA Chairwoman, I knew I'd want PG in the collection. This is probably the best female we've gotten from DCUC to date. All her joints are nice and tight (which may be luck of the draw) and overall she does not disapoint. People say her arms are too thin, but I feel if PG deserves bigger arms, so did Wonder Woman and Barda.

Man-Bat: Massive, detailed and well-painted. The legs are underarticulated but given the bulk of his upper body he's easier to stand. Makes me want more of Batman's monstrous villains, like a new Croc and Bane.

Forager: Another character I could've cared less about executed wonderfully by 4H and Mattel. The bad? my right leg's warped at the knee and his shield slips off his arm. Other than that, a worthy addition to the Fourth World mini collection that DCUC has ongoing.

The Joker: This is the definitive Joker, period. If I had to choose one Joker to keep in my collection, this would be it, even above my Hot Toys V1 Joker with the Bank Robber head. My favorite little touch is the Laughing Fish accessory, one of my favorite stories as a kid.

So, after five or six weeks searching and building mileage and wasting gas money, was it worth it? Yeah, I guess it was. Here's hoping if my neck of the woods has 'em, they'll be everywhere soon.

Glad those posts got deleted. As a man who can appreciate all things Batverse, I'm glad that you enjoy the DCU Joker that much.

That is definitely up there with Hamill's animated version and the ^^^^ Sprang version as one of the few, most iconic looks for the Joker. I've got the silver age DC Direct version, and love that one as well. I'm glad that a real fan like you got a chance to pick up and appreciate one, swift.

Yeah I'm a hardcore joker fan as well. I think this is the best 6 inch one. The Hamill animated figure is pretty bad by todays standards. I wish DCD would make an updated one

Fine, maybe my idiot post was a bit harsh. But I think it's actually kind of funny how short collector's attention spans are.

Whatever is current seems to be the most popular thing. How boring and predictable.

Gee, maybe you should move on and go hang with people who are exciting and unpredictable like you then.

Good to hear that others are finding wave 10. :joy

Just looking at Ebay it seems that this wave is finally hitting most areas.

Power Girl is getting re-released in wave 11 if you can wait.

He's in wave 13. :banana

No pics yet. :(

May 2008, Movie Masters Joker

"Guys, I can't find this fantastic figure anywhere. Can you please find me one? All these mean scalpers keep on buying them all. They're all rare and expensive. OMG I can't believe Mattel pulled the "scary version". The fact that Ledger died and this got recalled makes this my most wanted figure ever. I'll die if I don't have it."

"NEVER MIND. Just got it off ebay for $122 dollar shipped on ebay. BEST FIGURE EVER!"

July 2008, HT V1 Joker

"Man, I don't think Hot Toys could top themselves with this tailored suit. Fantastic figure. Best Joker I have to date."

November 2008, Movie Masters Joker

"Man, I'm sick of seeing this lame ass figure all over the place. It sucks. The Hot Toys version is sooooooo much better. Can you tell me why we buy this mass produced crap again? 1/6 FOREVER!"

"MATTEL SUCKS! Never buying from them again!"

December 2008, Bank Robber Joker

"Oh. My. GOD. Look at this new Bank Robber Joker figure. LOOK AT THAT HEAD. Must own guys, must own. PRE-ORDER NOW, IT WILL NOT GET BETTER THAN THIS!!!"

"I just took the head and put it on the V1 Body, PERFECT Joker. That V1 head is terrible, I think Hot Toys was playing with us but whatever I got my BANK ROBBER JOKER!"

September 2009, MMS DX Joker

"PERS, NEW CLOTHES, YEA! That Bank Robber head sucks, that V1 is obsolete crap. Whoever says otherwise is an idiot. Perfection Hot Toys, PERFECTION."

October 2009, DCUC The Joker Wave 10

"Where's wave 10? I can't find it anywhere? I gotta have this guys, GOT TO. Guys, I can't find this fantastic figure anywhere. Can you please find me one? All these mean scalpers keep on buying them all. They're all rare and expensive."

December 2009, DCUC The Joker Wave 10

"Man, this stinking figure goes for literally nothing on ebay. How could such a popular figure pegwarm? I'm sick of looking at this campy thing staring at me when I'm trying to get Wave 11. Mattel when are you going to make an updated DCDW Joker with the standard 38 points of articulation and moveable jaw? I'm sick of looking at my lame Super Powers inspired DCUC Joker and all the repacks you're making."

"You suck Mattel. You have no idea what customers want. Hot Toys is the best."

We'll never appreciate what we have so therefore we'll never truly experience the hobby. Something always has to be viewed as inferior and obsolete no matter what it is. Most collectors are nasty, miserable, panicky and superstitous

And so it goes.

I think people just want quality that they've already seen and when they view something, even later on as below par, it seems unworthy. I understand that things don't work like that. I for one appreciate mostly every figure I've really wanted cause, 1. they are hard to find sometimes. 2. I have to save up money and wait and wait to get them. 3. I look at them and enjoy them everyday. And I also tend to hang on to these things and appreciate them further for a reminder of the previous 3 steps.

Thanks for the reviews though man. I was hoping the joker would be that way. I have a tim sale joker on display now, but I wanted a less specifically stylized comic version for my display.

I wasn't trying to say I didn't appreciate my HT Joker, just saying if I HAD to have only one, it would be this one. It's literally the Joker I imagine in my head from the "Laughing Fish" story and the one where he and Bats have the throwdown at the aquarium (which I had on viewmaster!).
