But is it any good or AS good? No, of course not.

Show me a character from the DC universe that's more interesting than Batman and his universe and I'll agree.

You can't top Batman, The Joker, Robin, Two-Face, Riddler, Clayface, Penguin, Catwoman, Ivy, Alfred, the vehicles, the history of the character etc. You just can't.

I can name tons.

I find all the Fourth World characters better than Batman personally but that's just my opinion. Green Arrow is a much more diverse character. I personally like the Flash's Rogues just as much as Batman's villains. Lex and Deathstroke are just as good as any of Bats' villains. Within the last few years, you could even make an argument for Sinestro.


I WILL ADMIT BATMAN IS THE BEST COMIC BOOK HERO IN EXISTENCE. I DO NOT DENY IT. But this line is called DC Universe Classics. Not Batman.


I just said that there is more to DC than Batman. I'd love an Ivy, new Bane, Huntress , Gordon , Montoya, Mad Hatter, Black Mask, KGBeast, Ra's AL Guhl, Talia, ....the list goes on...for my DCUC collection but Mattel has to spread them out.


Mattel already had a Batman line and it stunk.


If Mattel made nothing but A-List characters they'd already had run out of characters and the line would be over alraedy. Mattel tried that with the DC Superheroes line. Guess what? It got canceled.


As far as Trigon goes, he's the Teen Titans' greatest villain right behind Deathstroke.

This isn't a trivia contest. I know about DCU. Don't get me started on how terrible justice league is or Captain Marvel Shazamamanama and Power Girl and all these other second stringers are. I'm familiar with DC and I hate it. Goofy sci fi meets worldly heroes with all too similar powers and boring looks. Other than watchmen and batman. Marvel is superior.

Yep. Sounds like someone who's only reference to DC is from the Batman cartoons and or the Dark Knight.

Why don't you read a comic book for a change before bashing it?


Marvel is far superior. For the record I like both. Both Universes have their pluses and their minuses.

This seems like an age old argument. I used to be really into marvel when I was younger but now I'm really just into a few characters regardless of company. I like batman alot when he's untouched by the crazy dc universe that he doesn't really see apart of. It always seems like its batman and gotham or batman and the universe. Oh I've read comic books Bonehead15. I know my ^^^^. I'm offended that you think I don't. Perhaps I've read it and I just don't LIKE it. I think it sucks. The DC lore that is. It's all mumbo jumbo to me. The marvel lore though...that's some quality story telling and good characters.

Batman is awesome and has an awesome rogues gallery. Supermans a pretty cool guy eh flies and doesnt fraid of laser vision...

I actually have to agree. In the comic and related character community, I've left it to each his won, but I had to get out of comics almost 20 years ago. IMHO, they reached their pinnacle with Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen, Sandman, Rocketeer, etc. in the mid to late '80s. Since, it has seemed like many writers and artists have tried to recapture the glory of those wondrous times in the comic book world. These days I actually enjoy the cartoons, animated movies, and live-action related movies. These formats offer a fresh perspective and return to the roots of the characters IMO.
