I finally saw some figures from the elusive Wave 10 at one of my local Wal-Marts, but the only 2 figures they had were Batman and Powergirl in multiples (about 10 of each of them). Is this common?

I've only seen a sole Batman. Twice. Power Girl is being distributed by Previews, right? Which could explain her. Batman seems to be 2 per case, and is a lame repaint, so. . .

I wish I could come across the Doom Patrol guys. Hell, I wish I could find a damn Wildcat for my JSA!

Powergirl, Joker, and Batman are all packed at 2 per case. So that means sam saw 5 cases worth at least. All 10 Jokers and 5 of everyone else must have already sold through :google

And for the record, my wal-mart only got a single case when I found mine. It never even made it to the pegs.

Holy crap! So somebody stormed in and bought 10 Jokers. The pegs were full of Powergirl and Batman, so somebody must have a buddy that works at that Wal-Mart.

The Joker's prices keep going down on eBay as supply goes up. Plus, he's gonna get re-released. Hoarding those with the intention of making a profit doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but. . .whatever.

I think some people are buying multiples of him and Question to make a trenchcoat Joker custom. If it didn't require painting, I might give it a try, but I've never quite got the hang of painting figures. The joints always scrape the paint off in the end.

I finally caved and got a 20 dollar joker on ebay. The way I see it, that about covers the gas I'd be using if I still was out searching for it. Also, my truck is running on 7 out of 8 cylinders right now and is begging to be put out of its misery. I also picked up a marvel legends ronin head to give two face a go. My dark knight custom joker is still my favorite compared to the movie masters and I didn't wanna be let down by two face all 6 months from now.

could you post pics of the movie masters custom in the movie masters thread? :D

I saw the batman and joker figure 2day. Left the figures on the peg. They did look nice.

also, GOT to take a look at these custom MM figs:

https://www.toymania.com/customcorner/cc22/batman.shtml

Those customs were done by a good friend of mine from Pittsburgh. I actually was going to buy that Jack Joker until he accidentally dropped or something and it broke. Thankfully he is making me an 1/6 scale Returns Cats, so I got over it lol. I do have an 6 inch ML style Heath Joker from him that puts the Mattel version to shame by miles. I need to get around to taking pic's of my cluttered and early stages of a bigger collection on here.

Back on topic, has anyone started seeing series 11 in stores? I can't wait to see more pic's of Kilowog popping up online. If not for Kilowog, I wouldn't want all of series 11.

At first Kilowog was the only reason I wanted all the figures, but after seeing the early pics and already getting sucked into cheesy characters (Killer Moth) and Fourth World characters (Orion et al), I'm in for the whole wave. Supposedly Cali Wal-marts have gotten these in as well as LCS in the area. I'm impatiently awaiting my order from bbts.

10 powergirls on the pegs? In one Walmart? If somebody came in and bought out the sets, that actually leaves just 1 extra of powergirl, batman and the Joker. Which means this particular walmart came out with 10 boxes. THAT is just wrong when the other walmarts in my area are still sporting wave 6. Ah well, I can't complain much since I already found a set. Hopefully, this is a sign that walmart DID order a bunch of this wave. Fingers crossed.

Still on the fence about that 2 pack. They aren't in scale with DCD figures which bothers me since I don't have Sinestro.

I'm sure they will probably release a yellow costume Sinestro in the near future, especially with a 2 pack of these two.

Burton screwed up Batman with his first movie, heh. Within the first half hour.

COUGH*bullsh**COUGH. i am a HUGE batman fan, just got done watching B89 for the zillioneth time. i have yet to find anything wrong with the film besides nicholsons belly, and even then thats a small complaint. everyone was perfect, production design was fantastic, very entertaining even all these years later. anyone who says its not batman is either blind or just plain ignorant. saying its not your style is one thing. saying it fails as a batman film is completely false. nolan got more wrong then burton. ALOT more wrong. plus, his movies just arent fun! and take themselves way too seriously.

Burton's Batman character was OK. . .except that he couldn't move because of the rubber suit, which even as a kid I thought was weird. Keaton as Wayne, however, was all kinds of wrong. I like him as an actor, but Bruce Wayne had never been portrayed that way before or since in the comics that I know of. George Clooney, despite being in a horrific movie, was best suited to play Bruce Wayne, in my opinion.

The biggest problem I have with those movies is the wacky, Burton style. Seems like it would have been a better fit than it was because Batman does seem suited to a surrealistic, gothic environment, but Burton's interpretation of it never worked for me. The weird quirks and fantastic elements just came off as hokey.

IMO the films aren't anywhere near as good as most of the public thinks about them. They're great "entertainment" but as Batman films they aren't any thing like the comics.

I had several problems with the movies. I agree with karamazov80. They were all TOO MUCH "Burton-ized." I am a fan of Burton. All of his films have that "Burton style" to them but the Batman films had just too much of it. I would have preferred a more realistic approach to the movie. I think the casting on most of the parts was great but the Burton style again ruined it. Example: Danny Devito was a great choice to play the Penguin but the fact that they gave him fin hands and made him into some kind of raw fish eating monster was pathetic. Pfeiffer was the same. Great actress but they ruined the character by messing with the origin and giving her that awful costume. The reason Nicholson's Joker was so awesome is cause they didn't mess with the character. It's basicly the same as the comic book. Keaton was horrible as Bruce Wayne and only slightly better as Batman. Physically he wasn't right for the part. IMO the reason he got the part was cause he was friends with Burton.

Second, is the fact that the whole movie was filmed on sound stages. It makes the whole movie seem too fake. This also applies to the Schumaker films as well. One of the things that I love that Nolan did right was filming the movie in actual settings. Like filming in Chicago and in outdoors. It gives the film a realistic feeling.

The reason many people IMO love these movies is cause it's the source of the second coming of Batmania. Until the Burton films came out, Superman was pretty much DC's #1 guy with the highly popular Reeve Superman movies. Batman up to '89 was mainly associated with the Adam West TV series in the eyes of the public. When this movie hit it was a "breath of fresh air" to the public for Batman. He wasn't anything like his TV counterpart which was so outdated for the time.

The DCD SC Sinestro is better than the DCUC version and IMO it is in scale with DCUC. The DCUC Sinestro is way too short and more out of scale than the DCD Sinestro.

Some DCD does work rather well with DCUC and are in scale.

Yeah, Sinestro is too small compared to the other DCUCs. With a character like Captain Cold I didn't mind so much, but with all the love Sinestro's gotten lately I'm really, really hoping they re-release him on a larger body.

Got Terrific and Kid Flash yesterday. Terrific is cool right down to the corny details on his costume and his spheres. I like Wally a lot more than I thought I would, but his poor hips are fused together leaving him in a perpetual running pose. But I finally completed Atom Smasher!

I also got my ebayed Harley Quinn (and a second to surprise the girlfriend at xmas!). She's great and I somehow lucked out with the paint apps and no loose joints. Now I need to track down the rest of Grodd's parts! I don't think it should be too hard, seeing as how I plan on getting Superman Blue and Manta, but I wish I could find a $%#^&*@ classic Aquaman that would cost less than $40! Which would only leave me hunting for Firestorm's piece, since I already have the WGSH version of him with the stand.
